Default FWST: Injury report: Mike Jenkins leaves practice to have an MRI on his back

Cornerback Mike Jenkins was added to the injury report Thursday after leaving practice with a back injury. The Cowboys sent him for an MRI.

Running back DeMarco Murray (foot) and defensive tackle Jay Ratliff (ankle) were held out of practice again, along with defensive lineman Sean Lissemore (ankle), safety Matt Johnson (hamstring) and center Phil Costa (ankle).

Picks aren't wasted when you get significant snaps from the players, even if you end up letting them walk after their first contract. If nothing else, we've gotten significant snaps out of both of these guys.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

1st rounders and 2nd rounders are supposed to be the cornerstones of the team. you dont see Chicago or Philadelphia letting Matt Forte or Desean Jackson walk. You don't see Baltimore letting Ray Rice walk.

Both Jenkins and Felix Jones left a lot of money on the table this year. Felix's poor play and Jenkins' lack of playing time coupled with nagging injuries will cause concern for an team thinking about signing them.

I imagine their agents are telling them to turn it on now because as it stands they aren't getting anything more than a relatively short heavily incentive-laden contract next year.

I'd like to have Jenkins back next year at market value. Jones? Forget about it. Give me Alabama's Lacey in his place.

You just might see Tenn get rid of Chris Johnson and Pgh get rid of Mendenhall. There are other teams that do get rid of 1st and 2nd rounders. It happens.

That's total BS. They're both wasted picks cuz they were 1st round picks that didn't live up to their draft status.

They played a lot of snaps? Seriously. You've OD'd on koolaid, man.

I seriously doubt it.

with that logic Shante Carver wasn't a wasted 1st rounder.
