So beat Cleveland and Washington...at home? That shouldn't be hoped for. That should be the expectation.

I thought the same last year and both the Cowboys and Giants wanted the eagles to join them in the division race.

If they can get to 7-5 then going 2-2 in the final 4 games won't be a issue

It's not a stretch to call a team's season over after they go 3-6, but I also agree that it's not certainly true until the team has been eliminated. Nothing is over until it's over.

I think it is a stretch to call it over, because no one knows. Is it unlikely? Oh, yeah. But unlikely things happen in the NFL, just look at the Giants last year. I wonder how many times their fans proclaimed their season over.
I guess people are too impatient (depressed?) to just wait and see how it plays out.

OK, I'll give you 2 1/2.

Yes, but the Eagles weren't the train wreck they are this season. They got off to a horrible start last year, but they picked it up. That stands little to no chance of happening this year.

Guess some of us hate the skins more and others hate the eagles more.

Demoralize the Redskins, then be demoralized the next week?
I don't want either team to have a glimmer of hope when they come to Dallas.

Exactly, redskins lose this week and by time the eagles play us again they should have 7 losses, maybe 8

Agree. If the Skins win they will come to Dallas thinking they can get back in the race. Their team is getting healthy, including Moss...

Exactly. I hate seeing that phrase overused time and time again; like, "Week 3 is a must-win-game" - really?
Eventually it saps so much meaning out of the term that it loses its significance.
A regular-season game is not a must-win unless it is a game which, if you lost or tied, would officially eliminate you from playoff contention, or very, very likely eliminate you from playoff contention.
