Same with every team out there I can recall GB when they were one of the worst teams in the league and did not matter if they played on the frozen tundra in front of the home folks or not they were a bad team and they lost. Stadiums do not win or lose games for you players do.

Yeah, but that's usually not the case for us. We have talent, but our fans don't get into the games like other fans do with talented teams.
My point is I'd rather have the crowd cheering for my defense on third down rather than them sitting there twittling their thumbs. They do that in Green Bay and in other stadiums.

I think I even saw the apathy begin in Romo for the first time this past game while watching him on the sideline. It almost looked like he had accepted his fate to be the leader of a mediocre team that sometimes couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag. Then his instincts kicked back in and he made the plays he needed to in order to keep the team in contention.
It reminds me of the bible passage that says, "I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth." [View Full Quote]
Lukewarm is especially dangerous with a guy like Jerry Jones as it keeps him believing that there is hope with him at the helm. It also keeps you in the middle selections in the draft, keeps Jerry thinking that they're one "playmaker" away from greatness so he reaches or makes poor trades, makes okay players look better than they are which leads to premature contract offers that are too high for the player's value, etc... The list goes on and on.

Can't be quoting Bible versus on here homie.

Texas Stadium was not all that loud. I like to see the crowd being louder myself but it is not what wins games, executing plays win game. You go out you execute then you give yourself a chance to win. Cowboys have some issues but fans are at the bottom of the list.

Hey, we signed Ernie Sims and Charlie Peprah off the street. That means, you know, like--CHAMPIONSHIP and stuff!

Sims has looked pretty good thus far. Looks like a good pickup to me.

Don't know why everyone acts like the Super Bowl isn't possibility. When you look at it the Cowboys are 4-5 right now with a very soft schedule remaining. The Giants are quite the opposite. They're only a game up on Dallas in the loss column with a brutal schedule left. The Cowboys are in a great position to win the division. If that happens and they're in the postseason and hosting a playoff game then there's absolutely no reason this football team can't win a Super Bowl. Literally anyone who makes the playoffs has a shot.

I think most don't want to talk about SB at this stage. Cowboys have way too much work they have to do before people start even talking playoffs let alone SB.

When your record is sub .500, when you are 4-5, .. there are no gimmees on the schedule, and no schedule is soft.
When you are 4-5, teams are looking at you as the soft part of their schedule.

It makes you wonder, if we start to look competitive for a playoff spot in a few weeks, if they might not bring in a FA WR?

Our offense is pathetic. We won't get 3 special teams/defensive TDs again this season. The Giants can probably turn it on and get going in December like they usually do. Their offense has actually produced at times this season.

I understand that, but I just think it's ridiculous that people act like the Cowboys don't have a shot at the Super Bowl when that's clearly not the case.

Honestly I don't know of any FA WR that could help us. I don't think Dallas will bring in a player unless it is due to injury and your more likely to get someone off the PS than off the street.
The team we have is pretty much the guys who will have to step up and make the plays. Myself I think our WR are very capable and some of the younger WR I think will get more oppertunities as they have a better understanding of the offense.

True, Cowboys and a host of others still have a chance.
I know any sport I played that is all I was looking for was a chance what they do with this chance is on them.
The win over Philly combined with the Loss by NY has opened a door and Cowboys have to go out and make it happen.
Right now SB is not even on my mind, for me I want to see this team start playing up to their ability and make a real run for the post season. If you get there I'll be more willing to talk about the possibility of a SB
