True, but what does a post on a message board have to do with winning or losing a game?

Remember when everyone thought the Giants were done for after 5 straight losses?

Good points made in this thread. Even though I started the thread, it is not an endorsement that the Cowboys will be the Division Champs. Right now the Giants are sitting on the thrown and waiting to be crowned. The Bishop has the crown in his hand and turning to put it on the Giants. The Cowboys are the only team in the Division that can stop the crowning. The Cowboys will have to fight their way into the chamber to stop it.

Giants chance of to be Division Champions . . . . . . . . 75%
Cowboys chance of being Division Champs . . . . . . . . 25%

Things can change now but the plants need to be in alignment, the Pope has to bless the Cowboys, the Jerry has to chance his ways, etc.

Some corrections that did not happen when I tried earlier:

Giants chance to be Division Champions . . . . . . . . . . 75%
Cowboys chance of becoming Division Champions . . . . 25%

Things can change in our favor, however, the planets need to be in alignment, the Pope has to bless the Cowboys, and Jerry Jones has to change his ways, etc.

Check with Sam I Am about the planets, the Pope is just a man, he can't bless anybody, and you can forget about #3.

Seattle's schedule looks pretty brutal as well. They still have Miami, Bears, Cards, Bills, 49ers and Rams. I could see them dropping 3 games easily, but their tiebreaker over us is tough.

Tampa is basically out of it with their schedule (and our tiebreaker). They still have Carolina, Falcons (twice), Broncos, Eagles and Saints.

We could be playing for a wild card spot against the Saints at Christmas.
Seattle's schedule is easy, the dolphins, bills, cardinals, and rams all blow, and they almost beat san fran in san fran, no question they can beat them at home.

I love your pessimism really.

With that remaining schedule, you should go at least 9-7.

Things aren't looking good for us right now. Osi and Tuck aren't the same players. Our secondary can't cover anybody. Pass rush is non-existent. Cruz has a lot of tape on him so he won't repeat what he did in 2011 for us. Nicks is banged up. Our schedule is brutal. Eli is not himself this season either.

At this point, I would be surprised if Giants finish better than 9-7

Most likely both teams will be at 9-7 and Dallas will win the division.

I hate to say it but Big Blue won't be in the play offs this year.
Yankees - NY Giants - Knicks - NY Rangers

Agreed. There will be no wild card coming from this division. At least as of right now. The North will definitely have one. Maybe even both of them. The South will probably only have one team make it unless the Saints get real hot. They are way behind the 8ball with the Falcons 8-1 and they are 4-5. No way they catch them.

The East is pretty bad this year. Most thought it was going to be a lot more competitive than this. Especially early on when the Eagles were 3-1. Giants were rolling. Griffin was good out the gate. Then everyone fell off.

If we win enough games to win the division we will also pass a lot of teams in the NFC in front of us. Way to early to say who'll be the wild card teams.

We should be favored in 5 of the final 7 games. CLE, WAS x2, PHI, CIN

NO and Pitt lines will be determined over the next couple of weeks as the teams have been up and down. (also depends on ruthlessraper's staus)

If Dallas finishes with those 5 wins and 2 losses, they'd actually be in a pretty good spot. The divisional record would be quite solid. 9-7 is hardly a lock but 9-7 with a good divisional record gets you in most years.

Seattle has already lost to Arizona, San Francisco and St. Louis once this year. How is it an easy game when you've already lost to them? Let's say they happen to go 2-1 in those games. They still have to play the Bears. That's a likely loss. So they'd have 2 losses. I could see them losing to either Miami or the Bills. That would put them at 9-7.

No way do they go 4-1 against AZ, SF, STL, MIA, and BUFF.

Seattle is terrible on the road and quite good at home.

They have 3 games left on the road and likely finish 9-7.
They lost to ARI and STL already so can lose to anyone; especially on the road.

That team is a year away.

The next game will be telling. Miami in Miami. If they win that one they are set up for a playoff run. If they lose they will be in real trouble.

Seattle has improved a lot since earlier in the year for starters, and arizona has regressed since there 4-0 start. Buffalo and Miami are terrible, are you telling me that they can't at least get a split of those games. They have the best home field advantage in football right now, no way they lose to the rams and cardinals at home. That puts them at least 9-7, which means we could only lose one more game. If you can beat the pats and packers at home, no reason you can't beat the niners at homer too.
