Jerry isn't going to speak badly of his team. Not at this juncture. He also may simply be speaking in respect to his expectations. They were missing half the line, that already wasn't that good, not to mention they cut down on the false starts!! Nevermind the holding calls...

Mike Irvin said Free has got to tighten it up or get the hell out. I would expand that message to Dockery, Bernadeau and Parnell.
That OL was a frikkin sieve.
"Our guys are gonna be good, and we know it. So that ain't talkin'. That's just the (bleepin') way it is."

That has to be the explanation. How can anybody be pleased with a limited running game and no pass protection.
The Truth will STILL not be the first casualty of war

Would soften the blow a little if HE didn't believe himself and act on those comments and thoughts. He's THAT out of touch.
Billions of dollars will do that to most. That'd be OK if he was buyin and sinking his yachts for his amusement.
Unfortunately tho, he owns something that was a huge piece of sports history and our lives.
AS: Cowboys ice their own kicker in 19-13 OT loss
“That is one of the luxuries of my position as owner as well as the ultimate decision maker, general manager and president – I can do that and take the losses and come back for more,” Jones said.

That's how I read it as well.
When your QB is sacked 7 times in a game and your running game is nearly non-existent . . . .
The Cowboys are really going to have to extend some serious resources this off-season to the OL. I am talking about possibly picking up 3 OL between the Draft and FA.

Got a better explanation for the Cowboys’ owner/general manager gushing about the job the Cowboys’ offensive line did in the 23-20 overtime win over the two-win Browns?
“I’m really pleased with the offensive line, as it is as we sit here right now with the win,” Jones said.
This was after Tony Romo was sacked a career-high seven times, the Cowboys averaged only 3.0 yards per carry and the Dallas offensive line was whistled for four holding penalties.

That's Jerry for ya. He would see an Chinese invasion of the U.S. as a welcome change of scenery.
Garrett to players: Make today a great day; go about the business of winning! If you can't keep up then don't step up.

That's a great line.
We tell the team we have to move on from success" JG Oh how they have done that.
I know that when we do not have the kind of success, when we don't have expectations lived up to, the one that should get the most heat is the one that ultimately makes the decisions, period, with the Dallas Cowboys. And that's me."

Good one Jerry, Romo barely got finished with his drop back before he had to start scrambling the whole first half. They rushed for around 3 yards a carry and gave up 7 sacks, what the heck are you so pleased about?
