Normally no, but then again I never thought Green Bay would ever lose to a rookie quarterback, either. Not taking anything for granted.

Any given Sunday. Or Monday. Or Thursday.

nope, guess I couldn't. Having something to pull for, even if odds at this point are somewhat remote, is what it's all about and what I find fun so sorry if you think I'm jumping the gun!!

It's pretty amazing that, after everything that's gone poorly this year, we're in position to likely make the playoffs right now, and might be in a relatively commanding position (ie, 73%) by Sunday night.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

Meh, I wonder if they have a variables in their algorithm for terrible offensive line and inexplicable game/clock management.

I only look at the playoff picture when

1. It's after Thanksgiving

2. We have a winning record

If we are 5-6 after this week then it's no point in looking at a playoff picture

I know.. if we were just a tad bit better we could easily have won this division this year. We are in the perfect position to win it now.... I just don't know if this team has what it takes.

How about Tuesday before Thanksgiving when we're only one game behind the division leader in the loss column?

Minny @ Chicago - believe it's best Chicago get the division and knock down Minny in the WC race
Atlanta @ Tampa Bay - we could be competing against TB for a WC
Seattle @Miami - would be great for an AFC team do help us out in beating this potential WC contender

Sunday 4PM EST
San Fran @ New Orleans- NO could be another WC contender
St. Louis @ Arizona - AZ a potential WC contender
Green Bay @ Giants - division

Monday
Carolina @ Philly - no real implications but I just don't like Philly

NFC
SEED TEAM DIVISION RECORD

Divison or bust just like last year, I think 9-7 wins the NFC east considering the giants Scheduale.. I know they do this every year but the Giants offense looks worse then ours right now.. if that doesn't get righted, they're finishing 8-8.

Wild card is pretty much out of reach since one spot is only really feasabile and Seattle would have to fall apart since they hold the tiebreaker.

Since 1991, I'm only programmed to look at the playoff picture after November

Look at our schedule and compare it to the Giants'. Where are the losses coming for the Giants and where are the losses coming for the Cowboys?

Giants potential losses: Green Bay, New Orleans, Atlanta, Baltimore

Cowboys potential losses: Washington (twice), Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, New Orleans.

If the Giants lose all the games they might (and they won't): at worst they are 8-8. Assuming the Giants finish 9-7, we can only lose two more games the rest of the way to have a shot at winning the division.

Actually, I think they have a better chance beating them than some of the other teams they face down the road.

They play well in big games, they just do.

Eli is due for a good game because he has stunk up the joint for the last few weeks!

Typical inconsistent Eli.....

Washington and Cincy are winnable games.. at worst, we'll go 2 out of 3 in those games imo. any other scenario and we're out of the playoffs because we need to hold the divison tiebreaker over the Giants.

They were saying today Big Ben might be done for the season, if so, that game turns very winnable instead of a toss up.

Saints are a toss up to probably loss but I do think getting to 9-7 is doable if the Cowboys handle their division games. Giants offense must turn it around cause they don't have the defense to stop the Saints or Packers at all.

I would agree with this but Green Bay has probably circled this game for a while. A revenge game for last year's playoff loss that they thought was a fluke anyway(their words not mine).
