DL, OLB and DB particular S on D. You always look for CBs.

Whatever our plan for getting a RT is because that is undoubtedly the biggest hole in the line, I would then entertain putting Free at RG.
Smith. Bern/Livings. Costa/Bern. Free. Vollmer? Jake Matthews? Barrett Jones
Any of those combos sound great to me

Regardless of talent these two are too soft to do us any good.

It makes me wonder if the Cowboys have any thoughts about trying Free at guard.
I'm not saying that's good, bad or indifferent... Just wondering outloud.

Hopefully they put more effort into it unlike last offseason. If you think the offensive line is a problem Mr Jones, try actually doing something about it.

I doubt they had, trying anything that makes sense but is a little radical is taboo in Jerry's world

Lissemore would help -- folks need to realize that we are missing Coleman, Rat, and Lissemore now. That's easily three of our top four or five DL (I'd say top 4 with Hatcher being the other guy in that group).

I'd take these to camp:
Parnell, Free, and Smith (Cook) + FA +?Draft = T
Costa, Ski, Bernie, (Cook) + FA/D = C
Livings, Bernie, (Cook), + FA/D X 2 = G
I don't know where Leary and Arkin fit. I wouldn't bring Dockery back.

I would bring the following players to camp:
T: Smith, Parnell, Cook, FA, draft pick
G: Livings, FA, draft pick, Leary, Costa, Bernadeau
C: Killer, Costa, Bernadeau, Arkin
I think my starters would be:
Smith Livings Killer/Costa FA Parnell
My bench might be:
Costa/Killer, Bernadeau, draft pick, draft pick
As can be seen this year, very few OL make the transition to playing pro football their rookie year if they are taken outside of the first half of the second round. Those that do start tend to do pretty darn poorly so we can anticipate having to add one FA starter to the interior and I hope Parnell can take over at one of the Tackle spots. I am very interested to see how he'll do because I think Free is shot and cannot be salvaged as a player. OTOH, Parnell looks better everytime I see him out there and maybe we struck gold there - I'd really like to see a lot of him down the stretch even if Free is healthy because Free just makes too many dangerous misses that might get Romo killed.

I could see your scenario playing out like that. I think expecting any draft pick outside the first round to be an opening day starter on the offensive line is a reach.
And considering a 1st round pick could end up being a 3-4OLB or a 3-4DE, I think any O-linemen chosen in the draft will be a reserve player. Which means any offensive line upgrades will need to come through free agency or from within.
