The answer is simple. Defensive Coordinators for years have game planned Dallas the same way: take away the deep pass but don't stack the line (our OL is so bad they don't need to stack it), give them the undernearth stuff, and force them to drive the length of the field using more plays.

This defensive gameplan will increase Dallas' chances of stopping themselves, either through a penalty or turnover. When they don't stop themselves, Romo WILL undoubtedly drive it down the field - which happens often enough to a amass yards. But in that case - when Dallas does reach the endzone - defenses tighten up the pressure on the DL to completely take away the run, knowing the OL will in turn fold on pass protection before Dallas' receivers can get open (provided they even ran the right pattern).

Trent Dilfer: "Tony [Romo] has greatness in him. I think when you talk to other people that really play the quarterback position, there's a few guys that really have incredible greatness in them, and Tony is one of them. I think the issue here is he needs more help from his teammates. I think they are not nearly as talented as people say they are, from 1 to 53. I'm talking about the total roster.”

Unless I misunderstood...week 3 against the Buccaneers, 10 points. Week 6 against the Ravens, 10 points. Week 8 against the Giants, 10 points. Week 10 against the eagles, 10 points.

I went about this differently. I looked up scoring per team for the first half.

We're atrocious the last 3 games.

Now check out the 2nd half, lol.

So there is no reason why we can't break that sad streak this week of not scoring beyond 10 pts. The time is now
This is pathetic... We truly are terrible

I wouldn't care if Dallas scored all of their points in the 4th qtr. Don't care if they put up a huge goose egg in the first half..

As long as when the game is over, the Cowboys win the game. This is a useless stat that means nothing.

very wrong. That stat means that unless our D is playing virtually lights out we are always behind going into the second half.

Look up the stats about how often a team wins after being behind going into the third quarter. It is not good.

WOW, I think you are serious, aren't you?

Could it mean that what we are doing is not working?

Could it mean that our game plan was woefully inadequate?

Could it mean that we were not ready to compete each and every game?

Could it mean that we NEVER come out and take charge of a game, .. or impose our will on an opponent?

Maybe I am way out in LF, and wrong, ... but it does mean something, and it's not good.

And if the Cowboys led the league in scoring at the halftime, yet still lost 75% percent of those games after the second half?

Does it still mean a damn thing?

Not to me..

Wins and losses boys. That is all that means anything to me.

Sure, the anaylists go by "stats" to determine a team. So, in jest, yes, it's not a totally worthless stat. I just don't care about that stat, especially if Dallas is winning.

I take one thing away from this stat. Garrett's offense starts very slow, almost lethargic. One of the major reasons we don't do well is our slow starts.

Not to rag on him even more, but that has been a hallmark of this offense under Garrett.
