Maybe Burnett could move inside. He's a pretty big kid.

I think James will move inside....

1. he didn't play well in space last season, bad angles and missed tackles.

2. his senior year at LSU? he played inside.

Norm suggested he would move inside in the new 3-4 defense.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Why don't we just stay with the 4-3 and be done with it. We have no weaknesses on paper in the 4-3.

IN my opinion, Spears is the pick that means 3-4...otherwise Ware would have been our speed rushing DE and the Spears selection, and certainly our attempts to move up for him, would have been silly.

I don't like change, but it's clear now that we will definitely be making a serious move to the 3-4 as more than just a changeup....we brought in Ferguson to play the nose, and now Spears to play DE, a guy who is not going to bring a pass rush from the 4-3 anyway.

Just my opinion, but if we were going to stay in the 4-3 most of the time, we'd have never spent the #20 pick on Spears.

What is your thought on Ellis/Glover?

Maybe one or the other is trade bait for a third.
That's why they play the game
