It takes a"consistent" passer to win consistently. He has some intangibles but he's not nearly a good enough passer to lead a team to a championship.

But for the Tebow lovers/supporters all you're doing is

Think Tebow's window is at least another year before the label: "CAN'T PLAY" sticks. That's been said of:
  • Jake DelHomme (Randy Galloway's hero )
  • Kurt Warner (between the Rams and Cardinals)
  • Drew Brees

Some will argue about Carson Palmer and Eli Manning, but they both have had their moments.

I believe you can do some minor adjustments to a QBs throwing motion when they make it to the NFL, but not major overhauls. Ben Roethlisberger and Andrew Luck didn't require the extensive work on their throwing motion or footwork that Tebow needs. Cam Newton? The jury is still out of whether he will be a consistently good passer or not, but he is at least completing close to 60% of his passes for his two year career. The league average is 60.6% over the past couple of years. Tebow is nowhere near that. You improve his mechanics and he still may not be an average passer because he has a long way to go.

Trent Dilfer was dumped immediately after winning a SB because he wasn't productive enough and it took a running game and great defense to win with him.

Denver knew they would never win consistently with an unconventional QB like Tebow who can't produce in the passing game consistently that's why they traded him. The Jets saw what Denver did that's why Tebow is on the bench with Sanchez. You will not win in the NFL with a QB who completes only 46% of their passes.
Why did Denver get rid of him? The same reason we would have sent Romo packing if we were in their shoes.....Peyton Manning.

Tebow can play QB in the NFL, but he, along with many many others, ain't no Peyton Manning.

When did they say Drew Brees couldn't play?

Why not keep him to learn behind Manning? Peyton is 36 years old.

And Denver was getting rid of Tebow no matter if they landed Manning or not. There was a report out a few days ago that said the plan was to draft Brandon Weeden if Peyton didn't sign with them.

^ think this was mostly concerns over his shoulder....Sean Payton obviously thought otherwise and got him in NO.

That is a different situation. There were concerns over his health, not his abilities when healthy. Not the same as questioning whether a healthy Tebow can get the job done.

Sanchez is the perfect example, when he had a good team around him he "led" them to two AFC championship games. Now with absolutely no receivers and a bad running game the Jets are eliminated from the playoffs and Sanchez is on a one way train out of NY.

Denver sent Tebow packing for Manning because Tebow can't throw. The Broncos took a huge risk making that move for Manning with the seriousness of his injury but that's just how dissatisfied they were with Tebow. The Cowboys certainly wouldn't have made that same move because Romo is a top 10 QB who's very productive. Romo is 4 years younger than Manning, has mobility and is healthy. No way would the Cowboys have moved him for a 36 year old Peyton Manning who was still rehabbing from serious neck surgery.

The Jets thought so little of Tebow as a QB they were using him on special teams to make tackles. They had him breaking up a wedge on a KO return for crying out loud.
