This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Your GD right he better get down on his knees and thank the Cowboy org. that they drafted him. I have no idea about his character but we don't need some guy who is gonna cry and pout because he did not get to go to his favorite team. I hope to hel! I am overreacting but this guy sounds a wishy washy to me.

Isn't he a little like in the britches right now for that? I heard reports he was in the 230s and a former safety?
I like the pick, I just hope his attitude improves.
Does he know Witten from his UT days?
|
Yes he'll know Witten. What attitude problems does he have? He didn't like the Cowboys as a kid?
He was 230 at his pro day, 239 at the combine, 235 according to UT. He looked like he could bulk up, but even if he only plays at 239, he is strong and takes on blocks well. Looks at some of the good 3-4 ILB's in the league, he's not too small.

He seems real small to play ILB in a 34 to me. I guess we'll see. I think he could be an excellent Will in a 43 or OLB in a 34.

Ray Lewis - 245
Jamie Sharper - 239
James Farrior - 243
Larry Foote - 239
Donnie Edwards - 227
Some of the best 3-4 ILB's are not much different size wise than Burnett. I've seen pretty much every game Burnett has played. He's tough, likes contact, takes on blocks well. Maybe they get him to bulk up a little bit, but either way, I'm not worried, I'm extremely happy he was still available in the mid 2nd.

During practice for the Cotton Bowl this past year, he did the famous TO dance on the Dallas star at Texas Stadium.
During an interview, when asked about it, he said that he hated the Cowboys and he hopes that he is not drafted by them. He also said that his team was the Niners.
I don't have a link, or anything like that.....but I remember saying to myself that I hope he gets drafted by the Niners and that he is a loser his entire career.

Bubble Lber means playing over an uncovered oLineman. The "Bubble" is the defensive gap exposed by no Def Lineman being lined up in it. It could be the Guard "bubble"in a 3-4 or Tackle "bubble" in a 4-3.

Darren Woodson grew up hating the Cowboys. I believe, in fact, that he was a cowboys fan. Get over it.

LOL.......
The reality of this thing is that he's drafted to a team that has a real need at his position. He has a chance to be a starter in NFL and he will soon be getting paid to play. If he lets the small time BS get in the way, then he won't make a team. If he gets focused on winning a job, he might be OK.
