Don't use logic and dummys, kind of like oil and water.

I am not terribly bothered that they traded down, because their draft board dictates what direction they go when they are on the clock; and in terms of RB's Bell and Julius Jones may be rated similar to Jackson, Perry and the other Jones.

I do question the value they did receive. A first next year is really worth a 2nd this year, and when you factor in the unknown nature of where this pick might be, and when looking at what the Texans gave the Titans, I thought they should have gotten better value.

I like the trade. A higher 2nd and a higher 5th. Yep I think it was a good trade.

Default but we got a 1st next year and a 2nd this year

so if a 1st next year is a 2nd this year and we got a 2nd this year, then by your logic, we got 2 2nds to move down 21 picks. thats not bad if jones was rated high by our coaches.

only bell and jones were invited in by our coaches...that was a clue

J. Jones is more explosive than any of the backs taken ahead of him. His numbers next year will outshine their's. Book it.

IMO, that distinction clearly belongs to Tatum Bell...

What Bell does better than J. Jones is put the ball on the turf. The man is a fumble machine.

Umm, have you actually watched Julius Jones? If so, then you would know they're both fumblers.

The guys stats aren't impressive. His biggest games were against Navy, BYU, Pitt, & Stanford. NCAA bottom dwellers defensively. Pitt is the only worthey chool.Whoever on here said ND played college fotball's toughest schedule needs to pass what he's smokin'........

OK JD you've changed my mind. You're much more in tune with these guys than what the Cowboy talent evaluators are. You're the man!

Perhaps....but I wasn't responding to who the better running back is or who fumbles less...simply who is the most explosive...

My opinion is that Bell is the more explosive back...

Lets read what our friend Mel Kiper has to say....

Bell: One of the top pure runners in the draft, he can hit a home run at any point since there aren't many CB's out there who can track him down. Ran a 4.41 at the combine.

Jones: While he doesn't have great speed he can hit the home run on occasion. Ran a 4.5 at the combine.
RIP Santiago

Forget it, I've been trying to get that point across for hours...it's the new math...

1 pick given up...thee obtained.

3 - 1 = 3
