Default FWST: Dez says he knows DeAngelo H. is trying to get into his head, and it won't work

-- Carlos Mendez

Dez Bryant said Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall’s mental games won’t work on him anymore.

“That’s his style of play,” Bryant said. “At the end of the day, you need to be able to get into guys’ heads. Back then, it probably would have worked. But not now. I understand the game. I understand what other players want to do to benefit their game.”

He said quarterback Tony Romo has been right about everything he has told him.

“Everything he had told me has showed up on film, and we execute the play or we execute whatever the adjustment is,” he said.

I know people have bagged on Bryant for who he allows mentor him and whatnot but I really like his approach nowadays.

What an awesome statement on so many levels that is.

Also, I can't wait to watch Hall try to tackle Dez. It will be like watching a varsity vs. JV practice

Dez is listening to Romo which is a very good thing. He now knows what Romo is looking for and as I train my apprentices, it's one thing for them to know WHAT they are doing but when they learn WHY they are doing it they enter a different level if understanding which leads to better production. Dez will have his breakout year next year, this is just te tip of the iceberg.

So instead of accusing Romo and Witten drawing up plays Dez listens and works with Romo. What a mature thing to do.

Dez doesn't seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed in that he's not very articulate and is still immature in some ways but I think his football sense is up there due to his incredible athletic ability. He is a beast among men on that field.....
Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
