If we get a few of these guys tomorrow we will be laughing.
I'll try to break this down a few different ways i guess.....
Running Backs
Still some good picks here:
TA McLendon
Marion Barber III
Kay-Jay Harris
Ciatrick Faison
Cedric Houston
Brandon Jacobs
My personal fave: Darren Sproles
Wide Reciever
would like to have a young and speedy WR:
Fred Gibson would be okay in round 6 maybe, but i like:
Jerome Mathis - Mad speedster (4.3) who is hit or miss... but he was impressive in his workouts and is well worth the risk at this point.
Free Safety
my number one priority right now.
Sean Consisdine - I'm not sold
Brandon Browner - this is my round 4 pick if we were able to make it right now. I have a feeling he may not be there in 8 more picks though. Move him to FS and he becomes a VERY interesting pick.
Offensive Tackle
I'm leaning toward fingind a FA like Chris Terry right now, but...
Ray Willis in 6 or 7 maybe
Michael Munoz in 6 if he's there
Picks made for Value:
just based on the BPA theory I would be happy to see any of these players:
S Ernest Shazor - mad depth behind Roy or move him to LB. Not sure why he's still there.
DT Anttaj Hawthorne - Teams are so upset he was stupid enough to get high before a KNOWN drug test he's free falling... get over it. He's too talented to pass up at this point.
QB Adrian McPherson - Arm Strength. Athleticism. Accuracy. Mobility. He's got it all. Put him at #3 and let him develop... could be a GREAT QB someday.
G Elton Brown - Heard a rumor he has a bad back. that's the only reason i can see why he'd drop this far. other minor concerns. would be great to have behind Allen and Rivera... both are over 30.
TE Joel Dreessen - A Nice all-round TE. Does a lot of things well but nothing great. Could be a solid starter in the NFL someday.
C Ben Wilkerson - Depth on the OL is never a bad thing.
DE Chris Canty - Lots of character and durability issues... but if he could get it together he could be on the same level as Spears. At this point I'd only take him if there was nothing else i wanted in Rnd 7 or even wait until he's a UDFA.
gimmie 5 of these guys and i'll be a happy camper.

My boy played up at OSU this last year, transferred to UNR, but he said Browner was a beast. Hard to get off the dudes jams cuz his arms were so damn long. He said he was pretty quick too. Aparantly he was a hitter too.

I think they go WR or RB with the 4th rounder. Either Cedric Houston or Fason should be there at RB. Currie and Mathis are possibilities at WR. Munoz(OT) is my "sleeper" pick.

I'll post mine here so that I don't end up helping start a chain reaction of "Here's what I want on the second day" threads...
RB (one of these):
Marion Barber III
Ciatrick Fason
Kay-Jay Harris
Cedric Houston
Brandon Jacobs
TA McClendon
Alvin Pearman (6th or later)
Darren Sproles
FB (if available in the 6th):
Keith Joseph
Zach Tuiasosopo
WR (one of them):
Just wanted to first note that 14 WRs were taken on the first day... remember in Madden 2004 when there would be like 15 WRs drafted, in a dynasty, in the first ROUND?
Larry Brackins (if available in the 6th)
Jerome Mathis
Craig Bragg
Offensive Line:
Michael Munoz
Rob Petiti (Parcells might be able to whip him into shape)
Ray Willis
Elton Brown (there's potential there. He seems to be a headcase though)
Dan Buenning
Chris Kemoeatu
Uriah Moenoa
Wes Sims
Claude Terrell
Ben Wilkerson
*side note: did you know there's an offensive lineman available named Matt Roth? Weird, huh?
DT:
Anttaj Hawthorne (put the bong down, dude)
CJ Mosley
Albert Means
Darrell Reid
Santonio Thomas
Robby Valenzuela
DE:
Chris Canty (could be a huge steal in the 4th is he stays healthy)
Trent Cole (as an OLB)
Simon Fraser (6th or later)
George Gause (as an OLB)
Jonathan Goddard (as an OLB)
Jovan Haye
Jonathan Jackson (as an OLB)
Bill Swancutt (as a rush backer)
Chris Solomona
ILB:
Mike Goolsby
Robert McCune
Lance Mitchell
Adam Seward
Lionel Turner (don't be surprised if the Pats take him)
OLB:
Michael Boley
Nick Speegle
Derek Wake
Cornelius Wortham
CB:
Brandon Browner (would move him to FS)
Abraham Elimimian (short, but can play)
Antonio Perkins (mainly as a returner. No earlier then the 6th)
S:
Jamaal Brimmer (6th or 7th only)
James Butler
Sean Considine (#1 on my wishlist)
Vincent Fuller
Matt Grootegoed (just cuz I'd like to see commentators try and pronounce his name every sunday. lol)
Donte Nicholson
Junior Rosegreen
James Sanders
Peter Sands
Gerald Sensabaugh
Ernest Shazor (as a possible OLB)
Marviel Underwood
BJ Ward
*side note: Dominique Price is listed at 6'11 1/2 " at ESPN.com That's a tall as Safety.
K/P:
If they draft a kicker or punter I'll kick my uncle's dog.

There's better value than Considne with guys like Hawethorne still on the board but I'm beginning to sweat when we'll get a free safety, are we just planning on Hunter to suck it up and play it this year?
I was really bummed out the RB Eric Shelton got taken, was really high on him.
Like some others I think Ray Willis would be a good pick particularly since the o-lineman we reportedly like Snyder is gone already.
How bout that Brandon Jacobs for RB? 6'4" 267 lbs and runs a 4.59? Ouch....

My top 4 prospects for the Cowboys' 4th round pick, synthesizing need with BPA:
Brandon Browner, DB, Oregon St.
Jerome Mathis, WR/KR, Hampton-- was the fastest player every time he stepped on the field...
Ray Willis, ROT, Florida St.-- Erik Williams' illegitimate son... LOL...
Donald Stewart, ROT, Mississippi St.
Smarter than the av-er-age bear...

I think you have to jump on Hawthorne in the 4th. There are enough good RBs left that you can still find a good backup in the 5th. Hawthorne just jumps out at me as by far the best talent available at this point.

RB (one of these):
Marion Barber III
Ciatrick Fason
Kay-Jay Harris
Cedric Houston
and give me
Darren Sproles as our COP and KR/PR
WR (one of them):
Gibson if BPA in the 4th or
Jerome Mathis
Offensive Line:
Michael Munoz
or
Ray Willis
DT:
Anttaj Hawthorne (too talented to let fall much farther)
DE:
Chris Canty (could be a huge steal in the 4th is he stays healthy)
Jonathan Goddard (as an OLB, this guy can find the QB and destroy)
LB:
Lance Mitchell
Boley might be a steal in the 6th or 7th
S:
Brandon Browner (would move him to FS)
Antonio Perkins (I move him to FS, he has the athleticism and at a min he can return kicks)
Jamaal Brimmer (6th or 7th only)
Donte Nicholson (great player, not a ballhawk though)
Ernest Shazor (big and scary like Roy but taller)
If we draft from this list....t'would be a GREAT draft.
I'd love 3-5 players off this list
Still left to accomplish:
sign OT Winston or G Moore
