Default Would you settle for Alex Smith, anyone?

The whole premise of "if you get rid of 'X' which 'Y' will you replace him with is the source for this thread. I am not in favor of Smith, but if we get rid of Romo, then who would be your realistic choice to replace him? I would love a trade with San Diego for Rivers, both he and Romo could use a change in residence IMHO. And if Norv were brought in as O.C. that would be a great way for the QB to be on the same page to hit the ground running from the outset of 2013.

No retread QB's.

Let's actually draft one and develop him.

Why are we so afraid of that?

Unless there is a QB in the draft that can play and start, I do not want anyone else.

From what I hear there is not a lot talent at QB out there.

No. He was garbage before Harbaugh. Dont think he would do good in Dallas. He couldnt even keep his current job.

Tuh! With Alex Smith we are a 5-11 team. Worst case give me Orton, But, Romo should remain our guy.

Someone made a dumb comment out of his arse, and the rest of the world is regurgitating it as fact.

I would be okay with trading Romo and Austin for draft picks, drafting a QB and letting Orton start while the draft pick develops.

poor QB draft class. Yes for Johnny Football but he isnt available yet. We can get a guy like Barkley but he isnt that good. No way should USC not be playing for the BS title.

No, that would be even worse. I would rather roll with Orton if Romo is gone.
Bye Free and Bernadeau.
Bye Austin and Ogletree.
Bye Sensy and McCray.

Bye Garrett.
