I don't care if your Garrett's mother. If you watched the football games, you could see that the offense was terrible.
It's not just his playcalling, it's his atrocious clock management/field position scenarios. Guy is completely clueless what to do in end half/game situations. He either has to pick being an OC or HC. Can't do both. Not everyone is Sean Payton

I'm not trying to be a smart alek, I promise, but I've already answered this in other threads over and over again. And truthfully, I've figured out that it can't be answered to the satisfaction of the folks who hate him. So I say, either Jones will make a mistake (in my view) and you will get to test your theory, or Jones will stay the course, and we will get to see if I'm right.

That's because you don't understand what is wrong with the offense, and its not Garrett.

I've watched the same offense that you have. I know exactly what is wrong with it. It gains yards but can't score. Folds like a cheap suit under pressure. Has players constantly confused presnap. Incurs many stupid penalties. Relies on the QB to make superhuman plays. Disorganized and confused when the game is on the line. Relies on players that have only proven to be unreliable.

Is it that players aren't good enough? If you give a coach 6 years with a unit, that should be plenty of time to collect enough good players to properly run the system that you want.

The truth is that what we have seen from the offense is what we are going to see. You can hold out hope that bringing in a pro-bowl offensive line will suddenly convince Garrett to actually run the ball, or figure out how to score points when they matter most, but the reality is that we see now IS the Garrett offense as he's designed it.

Ok.... As I said, we will find out.

Jerry IS a big mistake. For Dallas and the game of football.
AS: Cowboys ice their own kicker in 19-13 OT loss

“That is one of the luxuries of my position as owner as well as the ultimate decision maker, general manager and president – I can do that and take the losses and come back for more,” Jones said.

God help us...............

I don't think you are being a smart Alec if you already answered this question. There was a time I used to read every post in every thread.... Those days are no longer (especially with all the infighting in the zone).

Me personally, I tried to find reasons to believe he works be successful, but i come up short. His game management doesn't seem to be improving. His play calling doesn't seem to be getting better. The players haven't cut down on the stupid penalties (especially pre snap and deadball fouls). His mantra of process and building off of each individual improvements really never happens. Some point to the never give up 4th quarter fight the team displayed, but if you acknowledge that, you have to also acknowledge the piss poor performance in qtrs 1-3. I believe we need consistency and continuity at the HC position, but I just haven't seen anything to indicate that Garrett will be successful. That's why I asked you the question. Maybe you see something I missed.

Like Red as a head coach, think he sucks as an OC.

They scored 18 last week.

Heh. Yeah, no idea what team that guy had been watching all season but it sure as hell wasn't the Cowboys.

I think once people get a mindset about something they begin to oversell what they see. For example. I think they DID cut back on presnap penalties as the season got into crunch time. Were there some? Of course. I know you watch the NFL, there are some every week.

My opinion about what ails/can help this team?

#1 Offensive line.
#2 Another good draft
#3 Realize that some of these players are WAY overvalued (Austin is a glaring one)

I think Garrett is rebuilding the roster. I think he is establishing a culture (contrary to all the talking heads) that will produce winning football (evidenced by the 4th quarter comebacks). I think they will get back their defense next year off of IR. And I think we will turn the corner and be good for some time to come.

By the way, another example. Game management... tell me what all these gaffes were this year? All the ones that were unmistakable, UNDEBATABLE gaffes?

Because he doesn't do what fans think he should, he doesn't know what he is doing?

Best recent example? Not taking the shot at the 52 yard FG in Washington.

I'm sorry, to think that is a mistake is just crazy. You can make an argument for taking a shot at it...sure. But I can make an argument for not taking a shot at it, and in fact, most commentators I heard said they agreed with him. But on this board he was called stupid, moronic, and all the rest.

Most of the negative stuff I read on here about Garrett is sophomoric, arm chair, Xbox level criticism. And after awhile it gets old.

I think he was talking about the first half points topic that was brought up a few weeks back.

There have been many examples this season. The end of the 1st half of the Saints game is the most recent one.

And arm chair, X-Box level criticism? Huh? There are guys like Lombardi and Jaws that are saying the same thing.

This isn't something casual fans are saying. The guy is clueless about clock management.
