Heard Mike Fisher say earlier we will go after a Warren Sapp type in 2013.
Said he had a conversation, but wouldn't give out the players name. He said to look at the 2013 DT FA list and figure out who your Warren Sapp is of that group.
I glanced at it but see no one who compares in any way shape or form to Sapp. Sedrick Ellis maybe???
What do you think?

If we are going to the 4-3 someone like Desmond Bryant might be a good fit.

Perhaps Dorsey or maybe Kevin Williams since we are getting younger.

I doubt very much that the Bears are letting him go.

He also said that Jerry is all in. He will figure out to pay for something later so the cap wasn't an issue. Being that he's 70, etc.
I'm not saying who is your favorite of the group, who is the most talented/Sapp type player?

Lots of potential 3 techs on the UFA market. Melton. Glenn Dorsey. Kevin Williams. Sedrick Ellis. Jason Jones. Richard Seymour.
If we're going for a big dollar 3 tech, that means we're probably playing Hatcher at Strong side DE.

Despite labeling myself a "realist", no one understands my pain or appreciates my special truth. Stupid world.

Two Desmond Bryant's in one team? What are the odds? I like it though.

If the Cowboys could acquire a good 3 technique in free agency, they would have the makings of an excellent line.
Crawford - Ratliff - Free Agent - Ware
Ware is an elite edge rusher. All they need now is a tackle who can beat the one-on-one guard match ups that the 4-3 under alignment forces.
The position Ratliff would have to play is similar to the one he plays now, and he presents problems that most nose tackles do not.
"Many of the greatest things man has achieved are not the result of consciously directed thought, and still less the product of a deliberately coordinated effort of many individuals, but of a process in which the individual plays a part which he can never fully understand." - Friedrich Hayek
