Hazelton was tutored as a defensive coach under the guidance of then North Dakota State head coach and current Chicago Bears assistant Bob Babich[3] and Casey "Gus" Bradley who is currently the defensive coordinator of the Seattle Seahawks and former Bison assistant coach.[4]

USC had a pathetic season. Lane Kiffin is a very overrated coach. I wouldn't want him to coach my college team.

USC's defense was pretty bad, but that was due in part to lack of talent as a result of sanctions placed on the team.
