I honestly can see urlacher coming. Won't have to be the main guy and can be a role player and still get paid and continue his career

Unless he is willing to play as a backup no.... I would love to bring him on to tutor Lee & Carter.

I love Urlacher. One of my favorite non-Cowboy players.

He is DONE. Over. Ask anyone that watched all 16 Bears games.

That is what I was thinking, but I don't know how mobile he is now. Might be safer just to get a young one in the draft, Lee is plenty smart to adapt to a new system.

I wouldn't mind bringing him in on the cheap as a backup, but no way would I pay much more than league minimum from him.

I really hope they don't do this unless they are bringing him in in a spot role. That would be universally stupid to bump Lee or Carter somewhere else in the rotation to placate someone that is simply not at their level at this point in his career.

You catch a lot of flack on this forum RS and you hold true to what you believe in, and I respect that.
Having said that, if I offered you a beer and gave you a glass of water, you would probably think it was a Bud light...

Yeah, why not, we're bringing in old coaches why not old players.

As for Urlacher I'd have to say no at this point. I can't imagine him being a good fit or coming here in a role player spot for cheap.

Urlacher should just retire a Bear and be hired as a LB coach.

The problem is Lee and Carter have not shown they are durable to last a full season. What is your plan "B" when these players get hurt again?
