It seems like Rambo is out of the picture, which breaks my heart, but this guy might be a good fit as well.

From what i've read he's a great athlete. He has solid size for the position at 6'0 210 lbs. Only concern is the level of competition though. Not saying it will hurt him cause a lot of guys from smaller schools have enjoyed success in the league, but watching tape when he's playing against a bunch of lower class athletes doesn't help much tbh.

Not sure why Rambo hasn't received more mention. He's a perfect fit for our D and I think he'd be available in the 3rd. I guess the whole weed thing has scared off Jerry and co.

...who needs a "LINE" on either side of the ball? Boring, mundane, drudgery of "BLOCKING" is left to teams like the 49ers, Ravens, Seahawks, Packers, Giants, Patriots, etc....

Phillip Thomas is a playmaking safety.
8 picks, 12 TFL, 4 sacks, 4 FF's, 13 PD's.
What would we do with him.
Coached by the one and only Tim McDonald.

Interesting that everyone skips over this part and just assumes we aren't concerned with the lines.
Typical.

People keep bringing Thomas up on these boards but honestly I think he's a little overrated tbh. I've watched some tape on him and I just didn't come away that impressed. Especially his tape against Oregon where we was beat multiple times in coverage and missed quite a few tackles. I know Oregon has great talent on offense but he's going to face great talent every week at the next level.

Agreed. That Oregon tape was really scarey. Hard to get a grip of how well he could've done if his team held up better.
Possible Free Agents
Offensive Line
In Callahan we trust til further notice
Defensive Line
In Marinelli we trust till further notice
