I think the idea behind cutting Felix, if that were to happen, would be to free up cap. Signing Bush, IMO, would not accomplish that.
There are several decent backs coming out this year. I, personally, would rather see us draft a younger guy and take advantage of the cap savings. JMO.

I think it depends on Bush's price tag.
IMO, I think Garrett wants to have a better running team. We probably need two more RBs. I think we get 1 in the Draft. I would like to see one vet - who at least can pick up blocking schemes, catch the ball out of the backfield, etc. For some rookies, getting blocking schemes correct is tough to do (or rookie FB, as we all know).

Aren't you the guy complaining about offensive line all year long? We need to focus on the trenches, save the accessories for another time.

I'd rather get a fresh RB coming out of College.
Plus does anyone trust Garrett to think outside of the box with this type of player? Thats a big fat no.

He is a Restricted FA, but they might not tender him due to the 3 other RBs that they have on the roster.

Draft a kid in the 5th or so. Young and hungry. Cheap and will probably give us about as much production.

It would be an ok pick up for us if he comes at a cheap price. I wouldn't want to give much for the guy whose going to back Murray up.

We definitely need another RB to split carries with DM, and considering our other needs, it would be great not to have to spend a 3rd or 4th rounder on one. I wouldn't mind Bush, but I think some team with a lot of cap space will pay him a lot more than we'd be willing to spend.

Why not a third round guy that can fit in and accept his role ?
Bush seems like a silly choice to me.
The rookie can grow, learn, and possibly be better than what you have.

Start Murray.
Let Tanner and Dumbar compete for the #2.
Draft the #3 in the 4th or 5th round, and let the rookie compete for the #2 with Tanner/Dumbar in case he's good enough to win it.
If that 3-way competition does not help produce 3 backs (I'm confident it will produce the top 2), then look to last minute cuts for veteran fill-ins. I don't see it going this far unless there are injuries early on.

Trent Dilfer: "Tony [Romo] has greatness in him. I think when you talk to other people that really play the quarterback position, there's a few guys that really have incredible greatness in them, and Tony is one of them. I think the issue here is he needs more help from his teammates. I think they are not nearly as talented as people say they are, from 1 to 53. I'm talking about the total roster.”
