I caught the end of it....
Jones said they will be looking for secondary help in Free Agency. They'll be looking at corner and safety help.
He also was talking highly of a few undrafted signings they had, specifically the receiver out of TCU (Harrell).
Sorry, but that is all I heard.

Also said there was no truth to the rumor of the Boys trading a pick for Simeon Rice.

At work, so my attention was was taken from parts of the interview.
- Nothing to rumor Cowboys considered trading pick for player (Simeon Rice).
- Really wanted Spears but also saw DeMarcus Ware as best pass rusher. Took Gamble and won.
Ware over Merriman?
- Speed, size, ability to rush passer from stand up position
Canty?
- Can see well enough to play.
- Definite 1st rd talent (4th rd selection).
Number of rookies on defense?
- Not concerned.
- Ware stand up 3-4 OLB
- Canty creates a quite a rotation w/ Ellis, Glover and Ferguson
FA's?
- Looking for secondary help
- Will begin to look at veteran free agents.
- Believe he said that Dallas has signed all the UDFA's that will be signed.
- mentioned Reggie Harrell and also Tyson Thompson RB San Jose State. Voice perked up speaking about Thompson. Really excited to get both him and Harrell.

I don't doubt it for a second after their acquisition of Buchanon from OAK, but just wondering where you heard/read that Inman?

They gave Glenn the permission to seek a trade.

Should the Texans and Glenn fail to find a trading partner and release Glenn before June 1, they will assume the remaining $3.5 million in unamortized bonus money as dead space on the salary cap. That figure would lessen to just $1.16 million this year (and $2.33 million in 2006) if Glenn were released on or after June 1.

I am a TCU fan (I go to UT Arlington, we have no football, and I have friends there down the street....might as well!). Harrel is ok. He is the best they had. He may end up as camp fodder, but he has ability.
Not nearly the prospect Crayton is.

I have heard Harrell compared to Oronde Gadsden...
Smarter than the av-er-age bear...

I like the fact we intend to continue being aggressive to provide as much help/depth in the secondary.

Glenn comes with the advantage of being a Parcells guy as well. But as they were discussing on the ticket yesterday, isn't this a player that can still get starting money somewhere?

Maybe, but you have to wonder about his ability to start when Houston pays through the nose to replace him when they can afford his contract. And there were more CB's drafted in the first day of the draft than any other position, so there may not be much of a market.
He's solve several of my worries about the team ... mainly who covers the slot WR in nickel situations and who fills in at CB in case Newman or Henry go down. I do not want to be a twisted ankle away from Lance Frazier starting at RCB again. Also, as someone who has started 13 years in this league at a cornerback under 5'10", I'd love to get Newman under his wing to teach him tips and techniques, since Newman's problems last were were supposed to be technique related. I think he'd be a great mentor.
