I never buy this argument. Teams change from year to year. Seven months ago Washington was viewed as the 4th best team in the East and we were never supposed to beat Cincy and Putzburg.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

New England and the Texans had 2 of the weakest schedules in the league last year and it helped them make the playoffs.

Softer schedule + stay healthy + better Oline + better Defense = maybe this is the year they make a run.

I never buy into this type of thing because how strong teams are from one season to the next never turns out to be true.

Yup. Meaningless. There's no such thing as an easy schedule or game for that matter.

It never fails, in fact, that the teams you think are pushovers because they were pushovers last year end up being extremely tough. Everyone was penciling in a W at Seattle when the schedule came out this year because, Dude, it's the Seahawks. Then they turned out to be one of the tougher teams in the league. I fully expect every team we play to be powerhouses next year.

6 out of the 10 teams with the easiest strength of schedule made the playoffs last year, and only 3 of the 10 teams with the hardest made it. It's not a free path there, but it certainly helps.

Should look more at who is on your schedule than what the strength is.
Pretty confident Jax will be bad again and Denver and NE will be good.

You are missing the point. Of course the teams with the actual weakest schedules will be helped but this list is based off last seasons wins and loses. You simply cannot judge anything anymore off what happened last season. Just because Dallas is 25th right now doesn't mean it will stay that way during the season.
