Those people that in this day and age would care need to get a life.

So you're a bigot for having a difference in opinion? I think the word "bigot" gets thrown around far too lightly these days.

I'm at car forums and if there is a vehicle someone does not like - it's "ghey" {sigh}

In this context it's just as offensive as the N-word.

I remember that opinion towards the Dodge Charger when they started making it again. It shouldn't have been called a "Charger" cuz the original charger was a 2 door coupe, not a sedan.

I personally agree with that, though I think the car itself is fine. Just don't believe it should carry the name "Charger".

I couldn't imagine if Ford were to stop making the mustang, then bring it back 40 years later as a 4 door sedan. It wouldn't "feel" like a mustang to me.

I'm in the army and feel the same way about combat. If a fellow soldier, who also happens to like other men, wants to shoot Hodgie in the face, I'm all for it.
I remember a discussion with my father (a thirty year vet) where he said:
"When you're under fire, you don't care if the guy next to you is white, black, brown, yellow, or green. All that matters is whether you can count on him."

Rix seems to fail this particular test.

I agree. That was a totally irresponsible thing for Rix to say. I think Dockett should sue him.

He would have a very strong case... I wouldn't mind representing him

Former FSU and Houston Texans DT Travis Johnson weighs in on Rix vs Dockett:

Quote:
Johnson came roaring to Dockett’s defense. Appearing on 610’s MaD Radio show, he told Mike Meltser and Seth Payne that Rix was talking about “foolishness” and “was trying to be relevant again.”

Johnson started his interview with a withering assault on Rix.

“We never wanted Chris Rix. Ever,” Johnson said. “Mark Richt didn’t want him, that’s why he went to Georgia instead of letting Coach (Bobby) Bowden retire in 2000.”

Then Johnson turned to the allegation involving Dockett.

“Even if it was true, which it’s not,” Johnson said. “Why would you say that about a teammate?

“Nobody has talked to Chris Rix in 10 years. Nobody talked to Chris Rix, nobody has his phone number, nobody cares to talk to Chris Rix."
