Brown joins the Cowboys after spending four seasons with the Cleveland Browns. In 2010, Brown coached Peyton Hillis, who became one of just three running backs in Cleveland Browns history with 11 or more rushing touchdowns in a single-season.

The hiring of Brown most likely completes the offensive coaching staff.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

If you compare him to other team's RB coach...not so much. Can't remember the team, but they have Alex Van Pelt as the RB coach, wasn't he a former Bills QB?

As much as Emmitt is the man, you would have to hire a translator if he was to be the rbs coach! LOL!

No personal offense intended here, but that is a terrible idea. There is absolutely no reason to think Emmitt Smith would be even a little bit capable of being a coach. That's even accepting the idea that he'd be interested.

Great players do not make good coaches. In fact, it can be argued that great players are often very bad coaches. The things that makes a player great tend to include exceptional talent. Having that talent makes it harder for a person to see or understand why others cannot do what they do. That is why most former players who become coaches were middle level talent. They relied on technique and studying to get where they were and know how to translate that to teaching.

Correct. Played his high school football in San Antonio.

Emmitt must've gone to a speech therapist or something, because he is a lot more understandable lately.
