That's awesome news to me. I like Spencer and I think he's an excellent player who has been underrated the entire time he's been here.
I'm excited because that agent would be retarded to say something like this is it weren't about to happen. It would be the opposite of negotiating

Good chance the OL doesn't get a FA.

Let's hope it's with a 1st or 2nd round pick instead of 4th, 5th and 6th round projects.
In regards to Spencer, I'm on the fence. If Melton isn't franchised, I go after him vs. Spencer.

Any chance he's saying that hoping the Cowboys don't use the franchise tag? Never believe everything Jerry Jones says or an agent.

There never was a chance they were going to spend big money on a FA OL. I will bet you a sig that the winner gets to decide on and the loser has to keep for a year that the team signs a veteran FA OL.

That would be awesome. Having both DEs (Ware and Spencer) with high motors, strong pressure to the offensive backfield AND able to play the run well. My opinion is a DE with experience as a 3-4 OLB has similar value to a Free Safety who has experience as a CB: gives options and versatility.
If Spencer is signed, isn't the entire D-line set even before the draft or FA?
It's a message board, that's what the topics are for.
What I don't understand...insistence...disdain...It's one thing to feel that way, and to say so. Why try to make other people agree with you....And why pretend...Disagree with me all you like...Don't start twisting mine or getting frustrated just because I don't want to eat the other half of that crap-sandwich you made for yourself...Because I don't happen to like crap sandwiches.

This is play-nice season for agents. I don't think this really means anything.

this is what i was hoping for as well. nothing against Spencer but i like Melton's youth as well as the idea of upgrading this position.
