I'll take Leon Lett's level of play. Easy to forget, but he was as good a DT as there was playing in the NFL for a few years.

I've always felt he was our defensive MVP over that 4 year SB run. He certainly had the most significant/impactful defensive play of that time.

100% confident we were winning SB XXVIII. But going into the 2nd half down 13-7, I was slightly concerned.
When the Bills took the 2nd half KO and picked right up where they left off moving the ball for looked like what would be a 2 score lead, I was starting to sweat a little.

Then Lett splits a double team and punches the ball out of Thomas' hands on a draw play, Washington scoops it up for a return TD and the rest is history. It was a back breaker for the Bills and they caved.

It was an outstanding individual effort on Lett's part and it's impact is right up there with the slant to Harper the year before in SF.

Although some have criticised me for this - that's fine, I can take it - it'strue.

Any defense that is passive in its reads - like Coach Lett said, the 3-4 is a read-and-react defense -- and furhter relies on trickery to hide a potenaial blitzing LBer is a gimmick.
Wow.

On another note, watched Leon's interview on DC.com and did a good job. He's come a long, long way from the guy who was so shy he would literally run from the media back in the day. Good for him.
Ivy League
