Daniel Patrick would have a much tougher road.

Never said she was a victim what is it with you putting words in people mouth? She is doing what other have done, will she find instant success chances are no, there is a lot that goes into it but she is taking the same path as male counter parts have done and what people in their business think are the right moves and right way to do it as opposed to a know it all message board member. You act as if you know everything as opposed to those who do this for a living.
Go get a clue before telling others they don't know.

As for what you think is too ambitious the reason she did not start in ARCA was because of experiance in the Indy racing league just as other open wheel drivers have done she is taking the same path as them.
How she may finish this season it is hard to say her best finish in cup was at Phoenix that is not a plate race and on Nationwide she finished 9th at Bristol and that sure as heck is not a plate race.

Nationwide is a lower level. She struggled to get 10th every week with the best car in the field most of the time. In Cup, she'll struggle to run 20th. Watch and see.
It's not hard to say where she'll finish this year. Outside the top 20. I guarantee it.
Her experience in the IRL means nothing. We're talking about stock car experience. She had none. She's been trying to learn on the fly since last year. Following a path of such success stories as Marcos Ambrose and Juan Pablo Montoya and Patrick Carpentier and Sam Hornish Jr. They of the combined no wins outside the road courses and no top 10 points finishes in their career. These guys are field fillers.

Yes Mr know it all you know because of your vast experiance as opposed to people who actually own and run these cars. Yes your word is everything.
You are such a joke acting as if you know it all and yet have done nothing even close to what these professional have done.

You said she can't help it. I laugh at that ridiculous notion since she films an endless reel of sexually driven commercials. Yes....she clearly has no control over it.
Danica Patrick is all hat and no cattle. I believe she has talent but it needs to be developed over time. Most of these guys have years and years of experience racing against each other in similar chassis before they arrive in the cup series. Danica's trying to skip all that and jump right in with drivers that are frankly her superior. She can't hang and won't hang for a very long time, if ever.

I know enough not to say ridiculous things like her IRL experience allows her to jump into Nationwide without experience.
I would get laughed out of any Nascar hauler saying something like that.

Tony Stewart also raced the lower levels of stock car too.
Google failed you there.
Might I suggest trying Mario Andretti?

Yeah that is why these owners put these drivers in these cars. Only laughing stock is you. You act as if you know all there is to know and yet the more you talk the more you show you don't know much at all.
No one is putting people behind the wheels of these very expensive cars if they don't believe in their talent level to do the job.

Yes. All drivers attempt to sell their body in their sponsor commercials.

People believed in Patrick Carpentier's ability to do the job. People believed in Sam Hornish Jr.'s ability to do the job. Robby Gordon. A laundry list of others. Some succeed, some fail. Not a single open wheel racer has come over in the modern era and had any real success in Nascar.

Yeah, so he had the experience Danica lacked when she switched to stock cars.
It was a really bad example.

some succeed and some fail there are no guarantees but the owners who have been in this business and know this sport much better than some message board expert are not just throwing people out of the blue into these cars. You may impress yourself but that is about it.

Maybe she will have better career than Michael Waltrip. What did he go, 450+ races before ever winning? He won a total of 4 races and 4 poles in his long career and now is the head of a racing team. Would any of that have been possible if not for his last name?

I like Danica. I think she has legitimate talent. Of course she's way over hyped. So is Dale Jr.
She shouldn't be in the Cup series. She's not ready for it. She's driven a stock car one year. Even with the top equipment she's in (due to her gender), she will get dominated this year. May even cause a few incidents that take out real contenders. She was mediocre in her one season in Nationwide. She really should have started out in ARCA and developed her stock car skills before running with the big boys.
Those that really don't know the sport are very impressed by this pole. Those who follow the sport closely know this is the easiest place to qualify. You put your foot to the floor and steer. The driver is pretty much irrelevant. It's all motor and aero. Bet ya a beer she struggles to qualify outside of these plate races all year.
[View Full Quote]If I were one of those cup guys, I'd be scared to death to start that 500 with her up front. I wouldn't want any part of her around me in that race.

Yep, the pole doesnt mean a whole lot at Daytona other than the honor that goes with it.
Loy Allen ring a bell? Had the pole in 94 and if I remember correctly he didnt even lead the first lap. No laps for that matter.
