After the mental freak out he had in Washington I wouldn't be confident about this statement.

If we don't pay him close to Flacco money, I bet there are a handful of teams that will gladly do so.

And why is that when he hasn't accomplished anything?

I don't think he remotely freaked out in Washington.
He didn't play a good game, but I really don't think it was mental.
The dude was ballin' in the second half. Before the outlet pick he just thrown a TD pass and 2 point conversion. Then on that same possession as the pick he had just thrown a first down pass to Witten the very play before that.
He didn't all of a sudden freak out from one second to the next.
It was just a bad football play by him and the line as well. They missed the blitz, the top 3 WRs were all on the sidelines, he made the obvious play but got sickered by the LB or just didn't throw it hard enough. That was not some freakout, just a bad play.

Not as often as you might think.
He's probably played over 120 games and he has one of the better 4th quarter rating of any QB ever.
I don't think it's as bad as some of you think it is...obviously, or I'd want him gone by now.
But I do feel your pain.

I will tell you why he should.
Flacco sets the market now. Until Rodgers signs his next big contract, this is how the market for QB contracts for the next few years will go.
There is no reason he should just take whatever restructure is offered to him because he is so glad to have a star on his helmet.
He could leave next year and have five-six teams running to sign him.
He frustrates me quite a bit, but I do not understand what exactly people expect him to do.
This means he, or more likely his agent, are intelligent and waiting for the market to set his value and then if he's willing, which he supposedly is, to do a deal that is fair to himself and the Cowboys.
It really has nothing to do with Flacco versus Romo. It is about the market being set because Flacco will set the bar.

Teams are going to rush to sign a QB with 1 playoff win?
