I actually prefer that he says what he really feels.....which was obvious to some of us...but maybe now the others that have been blind will accept what we are up against!

He is completely immune to criticism to the point it emboldens him even more and feeds this rather disturbing craving for attention. It is what makes him talk as much as he does.
I just do not understand how one of the richest men in the world could show such histrionic behavior. It is not healthy.

Each and every article that questions his decisions makes Jerry dig his heels in more. As Switzer said, " we did it our way baby". Jerry wants to do it his way and wants all the credit. He wants to be a respected GM so much that it is now an obsession. Jerry's has been proven to be a failure. Enjoy Cowboy fans. Landry is spinning like a ceiling fan in his grave watching the destruction of his beloved Cowboys.

I think we passed that point a long time ago.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

It really is scary because if we win another SB soon that is the first thing your going to hear...its going to be all about him and not the team. That is how is wired. He is still trying to talk himself into the the fantasy that he was running things for Jimmy. It's gotten sad really.

I think he is comfortable knowing the way he operated is vindicated. Recent teams like Pittsburg and New England has succeeded doing a lot of the same things. He did not mind sharing credit with Schramm and Brandt.
On the other hand, if Jerry insists to be a champion without a Johnson, Parcells, etc, I expect him to never come close again, eventually losing much of the fan base and die very frustrated.
If Jerry is serious on being remembered well, find a good GM and allow take charge guys to be HC again. Like yesterday.

That would be like a wrongly convicted person sitting on death row for 16 years, exonerating him, and then saying "sorry 'bout that".
Credit, really?
Find some new friends, jeffro. The one's you have are lying to you.
AS: Cowboys ice their own kicker in 19-13 OT loss
“That is one of the luxuries of my position as owner as well as the ultimate decision maker, general manager and president – I can do that and take the losses and come back for more,” Jones said.
God help us...............

"Meh...winning is overrated.
Its a process after all, no one can win it EVERY year!
Jerrah has done a GOOD job as GM....just had some bad luck, what with mediocre talent, bad management hires, little coherent strategy, and overall ineptness.
As Cowboys fans we are obligated to ALWAYS support this team....no matter how bad it gets.
Once Jerrah's gone, THEN we can start thinking about "won-loss records" and Super Bowls. You can't win 'em all"!

It would be a facade if someone else was sitting in my shoes and someone thought they were spending the money. It would be deception. . . . Another day, another delusional stumble from Captain Hillbilly.
This is actually good. Jerry is so out-of-touch these days, I think the players and coaches now make fun of him constantly when he's not looking.
No one takes him seriously anymore. Now, if we can just make sure he's locked in his outhouse on draft day.

He's right, he get's blamed for all the BS, so when we win a SB, he should get all the credit as well.

He certainly never acknowledged it.
The pieces he inherited (Irvin, Tuinei, Newton, Gogan, Ken Norton, Chad Hennings) contributed to the titles but he never once gave back credit to Schramm and Brandt. Even Aikman was a foregone conclusion who would have been here whether he bought the team or not.

He does not care if he is remembered "well". He wants Sinatra's "I Did It My Way" playing in the background as he slides off the mortal plane.

No GM has ever got the kind of credit for winning a Super Bowl that he wants. No owner either.

^ Perhaps I was wrong on Landry giving credit, but at least his ego was better controled.

He got validation from winning those titles at first. The first one, you could see how he was just happy to hoist it since everyone thought he was a rube. Then after Jimmy Johnson did not bow to his request to include him as a functional cog, things got worse with the second. Even the third was bittersweet because they were considered Coach Johnson's players, even though he spent an incredible amount of money on Deion Sanders to help make it happen. Nobody gave him credit for that and I am sure that stung a little.
He will never be satisfied until he can win another one with his face front and center where there is nothing that anyone can do but give him their undivided attention.
