I feel certain that karma has his number and I wouldn't want to be in his shoes.
In an indirect way he and the media are victimizing people and organizations that are worthy of your donations because of the very subtle reaction people will have toward this story.
Again, I would not want to be in his shoes.
If your the kind of person that likes to give to people and causes, monitor your reaction to this very carefully. A desire and willingness to give is perhaps one of the most valuable conditions of the heart.

This is why I have no problem with municipalities banning pan handling.

Many years a go in Salt Lake City, UT., there was a man that did something similar...he got caught by some media people that watched him for months then found him one night leaving and driving away in an expensive sports car.

Houston media did the same thing. They actually followed the person go back to their expensive home.

I honestly have no problem whatsoever with what this guy does. He's not doing anythinbg that's not done by hundreds of thousands of people and corporations throughout our country. Even our own government is running scams on us everywhere we look. It's just that this guy does it by tugging on people's heart strings. That's what seems to irk people so bad. At least he freely admits it when confronted about it. Does our government or big corporations ever admit to what they're doing to cheat us? I think not! It's absolutely the American way to squeeze every penny out of you/anyone that they/anyone can get.
One small example that comes to mind........Here in Philly, Burger King is running ads for $1.29 Whopper Jr.'s. But if you want cheese on it, that's another $.50. However, if you order a sandwich from them that normally comes with cheese but you don't want the cheese on it. They don't refund you $.50, they keep it. That's just the way it is in America. The government and corps ALWAYS have to come out ahead!
I got a traffic ticket for running a red light back in December in Moorestown NJ. Well, in NJ you get POINTS on your drivers license for moving violations. I didn't feel like I deserved points because of the circumstances of the infraction. So in order for me to avoid points, I had to pay a lawyer $200 just to show up in court with me. But that's not the scam.
So I go before the judge and got it reduced to "Unsafe operation of a vehicle" which comes with no points. But unbeknownst to me, that meant that there was an additional $250 DMV Fee that I had to pay.
I feel INFINITELY more ripped off by that crap than I ever would by giving some faking panhandler a dollar!
I'm sure that if others herein cared enough, this thread could probably go 20 pages of people telling about how they felt ripped off by our government and big corporations.
If this guy is willing to to go through all the effort to figure out how to get a buck out of 100k different people a year, I say more power to him!
Afterall, it's 100% The American Way!!
For the record, I NEVER give to panhandlers. I pay enough taxes as it is.
I have signatures turned off.
SIG PIC THANKS TO JUKE!

Yea, that was about 10 years ago or so. I think he drove a BMW.

yes corporations always have to come out ahead. when they come out behind, they close the business down. What's the point of running a profit business without a profit?
your concerns here are laughable

maybe to you but please dont assume that your opinions on the subject are the norm or even the majority
the poster brought up a valid point, it is always important to look at things/issues from different angles and viewpoints
The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars but in ourselves. Shakespeare
think about it...
if our GM gets fired he will not get another job as GM
if our director of pro-personnel gets fired he will not get another job as that in the NFL
if our HC gets fired he will not get another job as HC in the NFL
ALL THESE PEOPLE ARE IN POSITION ONLY BECAUSE JERRY IS THE OWNER AND GM
and not one of them is qualified to do the job they are doing

I'm so jaded now, I hardly give to any of these guys anymore, but I kind of like the guy in the video & he cracks me up, I might give him a buck or two for the laughs.
You couldn't pay me $60-100K a year to do that crap every day
