Now, if we just relied upon the number one pick from Buffalo, and the fact Buffalo might have sucked (but didn't) -- meaning this number one was very valuable, and we knew there were three, maybe four backs all about equal, and we simply just got lucky because no one else picked JJones, then this is another kettle of fish. I surmise we knew what we were doing. Add in how this number one leveraged the draft this year, the extra one and the emergence of JJones could be the turning point for this franchise after a long dry spell. I don't know if we truly targeted JJ, but Parcells did say (before the draft) he thought that JJ was the most explosive and possibly big play back in the draft. Whether we got lucky that no one else picked him or not who knows. He was there, we picked him and he's a Cowboys now...that's all that matters.

This whole thread is more a knee jerk reaction to people not liking Werder than anything else. What Werder said is complimentary and accurate yet 2/3 of the posts on this thread are all about "how can he say that." Odd.

NOT SURE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE QUOTE. HE IS ONE OF THE BEST PROSPECTS WE HAVE EVER HAD. THINK IT IS GREAT, AND I LIKE BARBER AS WELL!
