As I stated in the threads weeks ago, Harvin was considered an MVP type candidate last season before his injury. His numbers were sick. The guy is a game changer. In Seattle's offense and with the weapons they have, he'll be even more dangerous.

So basically "with the 25th pick of 2013 NFL Draft, Seattle selects Percy Harvin".

This trade works for both Minnesota and Seattle. Makes sense.

Now one of Minnesota's 1st rounders (23rd or 25th) + plus their 2nd rounder is possible trade bait for our 1st and 3rd picks.

Minnesota should now offer a contract to Victor Cruz since they have two first round picks. They need a receiver and they wouldn't lose their first round pick. They also have money and a need a receiver, plus it will screw the Giants.

They could trade up to get Tavon Austin.

thats alot of draft picks for a guy who can't stay on the field. High risk high reward trade for seattle. Minny got about as much as you possibly could.

I like ideas about the breaking away or overthrowing of established order. I am interested in anything about revolt, disorder, chaos -- especially activity that seems to have no meaning. It seems to me to be the road toward freedom -- external revolt is a way to bring about internal freedom. Rather than starting inside, I start outside -- reach the mental through the physical. - Jim Morrison

That didnt come from me. Just that in the first wave of FA, we will sit, wait, and watch. Nothing more, nothing less.

They basically wasted a 1st round pick on Harvin. The real value of a draft pick vs a Free Agent is the savings against the cap for the draft pick.

Trading for Harvin vs drafting Austin has them both paying a big salary and using up the draft pick.

They could have Drafted Austin and signed a Free Agent for the money paid to Harvin.

Your logic regarding the cap implications have a lot of merit.

Still, as you know, any assumption that a player yet to get to the NFL will be at all as good as a Pro Bowl level player is extremely speculative.
I realize you know that...just put it out there for those who may think you can just take an unproven draft pick and guarantee production. Could happen, but no proof whatsoever.

Wow, that's a lot to give up in my opinion. Percy is a very good piece though.
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

True; however, you could get both the draft pick and a proven Free Agent for the investment that they're going to make in Harvin.
