You have one who has NO record in the NFL and another that is coming off a very serious injury and really only shined in a couple of games.


So you could potentially have about 5 big holes concentrated in 2 areas.


Virtually impossible to cover up or compensate when your holes are that big.

We DESPERATELY need to have a great draft this year.

Players get hurt all the time, young and old. It's just tougher to bounce back when you get older, which is why Dallas has to reload the line over the next few years. Eventually Ratliff will be what some seem to already think he is, old and decrepit.

Up until last year, Ratliff hadn't missed a game since 2007 (when he missed one). Yes, this could be the beginning of the end, or it simply could be an anomaly for a 31-year-old who hasn't been kept off the field by health problems.

BTW, if Jones hadn't paid Ratliff, someone else would have. He was considered one of the best DTs in the game at the time.
