CR, right as usual. Ive been saying the same thing. We have 2 more than capable lead WR's, at least for this season, and a horde of young guys all fighting for a 3 spot. I expect big things from Morgan this year. Not to mention we also have Witten

I just wouldn't count on Morgan right now... but i also wouldn't count him out.
personally, i though Bryant was a superior player with more upside. too bad he's a b****.

I'll probably be posting here quite a bit, as ive found it to be quite informative so far. Anyway, not to get us off topic, just wanted to let you konw im not just some newbie Boys fan. Im originally from New England, so my choices growing up were the Pats or America's team, so of course i chose the Boys.
In any case, im no :qapol: as ive always though he sucked donkey balls since his days in Cleveland.

Well we are glad to have you aboard... I have spent a lot of time in Boston... great area...
I was not implying you were a nut... heck... nothing wrong with disagreeing as long as it is civil...
I wanted Jackson too... that was no secret on the old board... but I also predicted we would take Julius... and I was ok with that too...
I am a patient sort... so I will wait to see if Q2 develops into the player we would like... heck... it took Irvin 3 years in our system...
Glad to have you here... there is certainly no "Art Factor" here in regards to disagreeing with a mod (well... maybe with Juke)...
Post away... after all... we may disagree at times... and at times we won't... but we all have the same goal... a sixth Lombardi...

Until this team goes after a young big name WR in FA or a trade or uses a high draft pick on one. We are never gonna have anything more then a below average O at best.
No NFL DCs or Ds or secondaries have any respect for any of our WRs. JJ and Barber are gonna see endless 8 man fronts.

I hate to say it .....But you're right. It is my opinion also that no one has respect for our receivers. I agree with your Randall comment 100%. He's had his chances. I thought he'd be like Alvin and drop the easy ones but catch the ones that made your mouth hang open. He's not. Glen is too short, Key does his blocking asssignments well but he isn't game planned around anymore. I have my hopes for Crayton though. IF he can learn the offense and the routes there within he could be the diamond in the rough this year. Copper is good sized but he seems very timid. I hope they coach that out of him. Yep.....you're correct young man we're scrapping the bottom of the barrel at this point. Thanks alot pal....i wanted to enjoy the draft just one more day. AH, the visions I had in my head.

Billy, you do have a point about Cleveland sucking in general, but ive watched morgan quite a bit, and he makes Koren Robinson's hands look like Jerry Rice's. But in any case, Crown is right. This team doesnt have any dominant receivers (other than Witten), but they should be solid enough for at least another year. Witten helps a ton though. Look at the WRs KC has, and theyve been a staple at the top of the offensive output every year the last 3-4, and all they really have is Gonzo, and a bunch of guys like Glenn and Keyshawn... solid, but unspectacular. Same with SD. Top 5 in offense last year, and who can name any of their WRs before Mcardell joined them? Yeah, me either. Gates was a beast. I do hope youre right about Crayton. If he can turn into a solid #2 guy, thatd be sweet, cuz then we could focus on a playmaking WR next year, and probably FS, and the entire nucleus of this team should be set for many years.

Our overall WR core is better than the Pats. See my post earlier.

Key is ok. Ok. Ok is our best WR and thats not good. The prob with Key is Im not sure who is faster him or Rob Pettiti. We just dont have a good WR corp.
We did have a great draft but bein real on this I would rank our WRs between #22 and #32 in the NFL. They just arent that good. If we are ever gonna have just a GOOD not even great but just good we are gonna need some very good young WRs on this team. We have none.
We get a cannon armed QB in Bledsoe but he wont be needin the big gun this year thats for sure.
I think we can go 10-6 this year but the big thing that is gonna cost us games against the real good teams is our WRs just arent good nuff to put points on the board.
If a team scores more then 17 points on us we are gonna have some probs. If they score over 21 points we probaly aint gonna win.
The good news is there probaly wont be to many teams that will get more then 21 points on us.

Just because we don't have an explosive number 1 doesn't mean that our core (let me reword that to corps) is bad. it is terrific. We have solid players up top and good, young prospects below.
And yes - I do think it is better than the Pats. And I know that there is a thing about how one of their WRs was Super Bowl MVP. So what? They have no true number one. WR by committee is the best committee to run, especially if they are all solid. And we have more solid receivers than they do.

I like Crayton he reminds me of another WR we had that was a part of the reason Dallas had Superbowl rings by making big key plays he was not a star but he had a knack for making plays when we needed them Crayton IMO gives me that feel and that type of play. Crayton also snatches the ball out of the air very well.
Crayton is are next K-mart and tell me K-Mart was not a reason we won SB and I would say you are crazy. Now he was not a star but he had a role and he produced and if that is all Crayton becomes that was a steal of a draft pick in the late rounds. Teams win SB have star players yes but they also have the unsug heros that come up with plays it takes both to get there and to win it.

Hands can be worked on, which he aprantly is doing...anyone who played WR or RB in HS knows they make you do a bunch of stuff with medecine balls and stuff to work on hands..
If you look at the trend of Parcells offenses, he doesnt usually have a guy whos gonna get 100 catches. It's usually spread between 3-4 guys. Key plays well, Glenn can still stretch the field. Obviously Parcells sees something in one our young WRs. Morgan, like trickblue so niceley pointed out, may just need time in our system. He has all the physical tools to produce, he just needs to get his head right. That's all catching is, concentration. Of course, the Irvin argument was golden too, but I'm not ready to call Q.M. the next Mike Irvin.
BTW, agreeing with CR, we have a nice corps of receivers, which Parcells always likes. It's usually a very good TE (Coates, Witten, Barvano) mixed with above average WR who can produce. Our WR/TE's are better than NE's..and they won a SB with those guys, 3 in fact.

Patrick Crayton and David Givens both went in the 7th round. Coincidence? I think not.

hell...if Bruce happens to get cut, (I don't think it's gonna happen) at least contact his agent to see if there is interest. He's been a pretty damn consistent WR over the years.
