You can always tell it is the offseason (May) when---


10) People get real testy and start arguing whether or not Herschel Walker's best days came before or after the Minnesota trade;

9) Some fellow hits the waiver wire and immediately there is a 12 page thread about whether or not he would be a good signing;

8) Somebody bothers to listen to a two day old "Ranch Report" and recaps it;

7) When Drew Pearson can claim "Cowboy Bias" in the Hall of Fame
and it gets big headlines like it is some revelation;

6) The color of the paint at Reliant Stadium's parking lot is somehow noteworthy;

5) There is talk about what the most popular jersey is. On the main page.;

4) Threads like "all-time favorite QB", "all-time best coach" and so forth erupt like weeds after a rainstorm;

3) When a minor arthroscopic hip cleanup for a prospect gets press like it was the end of days;

2) Speculation abounds on which NFLE player might make the roster; and---

1) The Nors chant switches from Ty Law and the 3-4 to "the No-Huddle/Drew Bledsoe" offense.
