Default Chris Canty Took part in limited Drills yesterday

This is good news and a big step forward. I guess his eye surgery was a success. I got this from the same place the Pics came from in the Image Zone.

• Rookie DE Chris Canty, who spent the team's rookie mini-camp working only on his conditioning, took part in limited drills Friday. Taking his place on the sideline Friday were rookie LB Kevin Burnett, OL Tyson Walter and G Marco Rivera, all of whom worked with the team's training and conditioning staff while their teammates went through drills.

I would think that if he didn't hit, he could participate in non-contact drills without much danger to his eye. Remember, he was also rehabbing from a (knee?) injury from last season.

It seems to me that they are really pushing it with Canty's knee. He has been somewhat limited with his rehab on the knee due to the eye. It normally takes a full year to get back from that kind of knee sergury; he will have less than a year and the eye setbacks on top of that. I hope they don't rush him and ruin his knee.

i think there keeping an eye out on his knee, with as much depth as we have on the DE, we dont need hm rushed into the lineup, i think we dont ahve to worry about that.

I ate Chinese food last night... And I'm spending the weekend doing work on the computer and watching the movie marathon on SciFi... hope that makes the news-wire too.
