but if we jump on a team early and ahve a lead why would we put our star RB out there, that woudl only increase the carries for barber and thomas, not for JJ. Now if its a tight game, and it could go either way than yeah JJ might get alot of carries, but still i see 1200-1400 this year.

Well let me be the first to say this, if he gets that many yards, then we might be contending for something special.

forget about that many "all pros"... just having that many considered for the pro bowl - even as alternates... now that would be a rockin' season.
i like you nors, but are you even familiar with the phrase "diminished expectations"?

Now if we take the time to stop patting ourselves on the back let's be a little bit reasonable. 1200 yards for JJ would be great. I think in all honestly you have to take into consideration that he was fresh compared to other players out there and that might have been the reason he has done so well. I hope that isn't the case but I would be happy with 1200+ by him.
As far as the All Pro's are concerned I think only LA and RW are the only two that are as close to a lock as we can get. We just have to see how everything pans out, there is too much depth on this team now for everyone to put up pro bowl stats.

Everyone of those except JJ and Newman have been to the Pro Bowl. So it is not that much of a stretch. The Hotel probably will if we have a great season. Glover is the one that is hurt by the switch- unless he puts up some unreal numbers he has no chance since he is not the starter. If we have a great season Bledsoe will be part of the reason and could make it. Newman got close in his rookie season. JJ busts out for 1200-1400 and he probably will. So it is all possible. Whenever a team has a great year they are awarded with lots of pro bowl slots. Even last year we had Roy, Glvoer, LA- can't remember if the Hotel made it-and Witten. That is 5 for a 6-10 team.
If we go like 10-6 or 11-5 make the playoffs- we will get several more. Rivera has been to the Pro Bowl, so has Ferguson.
JJ will get a lot of carries if he produces - BP might give him as many as 25 a game.
If he only averages 4.2 that works out to 105 per game and 1680 for the season.
Drop it down to 22 per game- that is 92 per game- 1452 for the season. He gets those kind of numbers he will be in the pro bowl.

[font=Tahoma]I don't think we'll have that many Pro Bowl possibilities, but I do think that these people have a shot at being on some kind of off-season specialty team as per ESPN, CBS Sportsline, or NFL column. People in bold will be my Pro Bowl selections.

If Dallas wins 10 to 11 games we will have minimum 5 to 6 Pro Bowlers.
We go 4-12 - thats a different story.

So, who do you think he will make it over?
Dante CUlpepper, Donovan Mcnabb, Mike Vick, Marc Bulger, Brett Favre, Matt Hasleback are almost locks to be better than him. THan you have the young guys like Harrington, Ramsey, ELi, Grossman, and Mcown.
Drew Bledsoe was considered a bum by most here before we signed him. A couple of months of reading how he has a strong arm and listening to him talk and all of a sudden he is going to the probowl. Sorry if I don't drink that much Kool-aid.

[font=Tahoma]You're generalizing through past events. Buffalo had a rather weak offense last year. Dallas does not.
Culpepper - He's without Moss. His production will slump noticably.
McNabb - The way the T.O. situation is going, he might not have him.
Vick - Vick has all of his weapons and then some.
Bulger - He might not have Isaac Bruce.
Favre - He has a shot too.
Hasselbeck - Hasselbeck isn't a lock for anything. Shaun Alexander might not play unless he gets a new contract. Plus, he has to gel with all of his new weapons.
The jury is still deliberating on Harrington and Ramsey. Eli as well. Grossman has to battle for his position. As for McCown, he's behind Warner and Warner didn't fare to well.
Drew Bledsoe always had success when he had a good TE. He has that with Witten. Not to mention we have a pitchfork of RB's that can take the pressure off of the passing game. So, Bledsoe has just as good of a chance as anyone else.
When an offense isn't unilateral, you'll see an aging or inexperienced QB do well.

Yeah and Woody Danzler had a play that was on ESPN's top 10 NFL plays of the year with kick return he had and he probably won't make our team this year. One play doesn't make a season.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

THey're Wrs are just as good if not better than ours. They had just as good of a running game. They're OL might have been suspect, but everywhere bledsoe goes hte OL seems suspect.

Not last season when moss was injured. He still put all pro numbers.

Hes made the Probowl without him.

I don't think Bruce will make that much of a difference.

Well, you are assuming the worst for all these QBs. WHos to say bledsoe has the situation he is going in?

Yes, but you have to account for a few of them finally coming out. They have just as good a shot as bledsoe IMO.

Our offensive supporting cast isn't as good as greenbay, st louis, minnesota, philly (if TO doesn't hold out) and I don't think our qb is as good.

4500 yard season in 2002- he made the Pro Bowl.
Dallas has the weapons to do the same this season. Laugh all you want.
We go 11-5 and he racks up another 3500 to 4,000 yard season he'll be an All Pro again. Belive he's been All Pro 4 to 5 times in career.

This just gives you an idea of how elusive he is in the opened field. I think that with JJ's bulked up physique, you will need more than an arm tackle to bring him down.
As for Drew Bledsoe, I'm not sold on him racking up that many yards, except for the fact that it seems now that BP is pass happy. I thought he was more of a ground guy, but he was throwing the ball like crazy at times last year. So I guess he could put up some numbers.
