What if Bledsoe just really bites.
I hope Bledsoe gets going good. It sounded like he did good in the Saturday practice. But if he shows no improvement or gets worse in these 3 preseason games then what.
Do we give Bledsoe the 1st 6 games of the year and if still no better then give the ball to Tony Romo. I really do think Henson has a good chance at being our QB of the future but Romo sounds like he is more ready now.
If Bledsoe is no better by game 6 of the reg season then start Romo and BP let Romo know that Henson will be getting some spot time.
I would like to see Henson start but right now it would be a mistake. Maybe with getting a few series in some games this year and if he is really showing improvement start him the last few games if the season is a loss.
Right now I think if we have to sit Bledsoe we should go with Romo for most the games. Henson is showing improvement but starting him to soon could just totally ruin all that. Get him some drives in alota the games this year and even let him start some of the last one if possible and he should be ready to be the man next year.

Bledsoe is our starter for better or worse this year. We can only hope he does OK because there isn't much of a chance he will get bunched and Romo put in. If Henson can't get a few snaps in during a 6-10 season, BP isn't benching Bledsoe.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Oh , I can hear it now. Parcells: " Bledsoe gives us the best chance to win. "
We need to roll the dice and let some young blood in. Sure Bledsoe still has a chance to step up though. Lets not count our chickens yet.

...we will be looking at a very long season. The hopes of the Cowboy nation cannot ride on Romo's shoulders/arm. Julius Jones will have to take over from this point in the run game and Witten and JOhnson will have to take over in the pass department with shorter routes.
Glenn will get his touches, but we won't have alot of strong arm throws based on what posters here have said about the power of Romo's arm.
As for Henson, this year would be unfair to put his feet to the fire. He seems to have enough on his plate with just the delivery adjustment.
Any vet out there would just be another season of Vinny, Ryan, etc. It means we are really playing for a draft spot. From what I can realistically see we don't have an actual plan for QB other than Bledsoe and time for the youngsters to develop.

Last year wouldn't tell you anything. It would tell you that Henson went 6-7 with a TD against the Ravens and then sucked the next week. Kind of opposite sides of the spectrum.

I have to agree...we either sink or swim with bledsoe this year..barring any unforseen injuries...And with our O-line play i wouldnt doubt it.

What if he plays at a 85+ QB rating.
Who will give him credit? Or will he still be a bad guy?

Despite labeling myself a "realist", no one understands my pain or appreciates my special truth. Stupid world.

Now THAT is a huge "What if".
What if I win the lottery?
What if world hunger is cured tomorrow?
What if terrorism is ended forever by next tuesday?
What if I make more money then Terrel BLOwens in my lifetime?
All those are lesser "What ifs" then the one about Bledsoe maintaining an 85+ QB rating.
But if he somehow managed it, of course I'd give him credit. Duh.

If Bledsoe isn't at all capable of running this team (unlikely), and if Romo nor Henson are ready, and if we spend this season developing the young QB's, the Parcells should be fired !!!
If his decisions on all 3 QB's are so far off that we have to literally piss away our entire season and call it "a developmental year" for our QB's, then he will have blown it as badly as any coach before him.
I don't see that happening...even if we end up with a lackluster, Vinnie type year where Bledsoe fades down the stretch, I still think he'll run the offense and lead us to enough victories to be competitive and in the playoff hunt.
