Default Bledsoe takes forever to hand the ball off, why?

I am worried Bledsoe would be bad enough just as a passer but I think he could be a negative for the running game too. He takes forever from the snap of the ball to get it into Jones' hands. The D is already keyed in on Julius by the time Bledsoe gets there! We need faster, quick hitting the hole runs, not slow developing run plays. What do you guys think?

It's hard to hand the ball off quickly when your feet are made of concrete.

This is one of the more stupid posts I have read lately. If the defense is already keying on Jones as you say, then thet will make the play action pass work even better..

By the way, a number of those handoffs were stretch plays, which are designed to be slow developing running plays which allows the blockers time to get to there persepctive defenders.

Well, I'm sorry you think this a stupid post but your observations about play action being successfull with Bledsoe may be off. They had a stat last night that showed that Bledsoe is one of the worst play action passers of all time.

Negative. First of all, I was bringing that up to counter your point about the defense being already keyed on Jones.

Secondly, that stat was not all time, it was last season. The Bills ran the least amount of play action passes on any team last season. Of that small amount, Bledsoe had the second lowest rating on the playaction pass to Feeley of Miami. Makes for good television, but Buffalo was not an offense designed around the playaction pass. They used a lot of shotgun formation when they passed.

Well there is a simple explaination for that, Bledsoe sucks. Can Ware play QB?

Yeah and who was the worst QB at running play action? How can you be slow at handing off the ball? Hand offs are timing plays period. This is a rediculous topic, and frankly it is just a baseless attack on Bledsoe.

Some of you will die, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

Pssst...It's his 5th post. I smell a disgruntled seachicken fan.

Jeez, I have been a Cowboy fan all my life and I am rooting for Bledsoe, I just think the timing on some run plays are a little slow to develop. The stat I was referring to was shown last night on MNF. Sorry I didn't record it.

you seem to know an awful lot about the Bills last year.

Are you a Bledsoe fan ? From reading your posts I get the sense that you have been a follower of Bledsoe for some time.

Don't take it to hard. You are being doubled teamed by the the frick and frack of Bledsoe apologetics.

Notice how quickly they jumped on you and the precise timing and coordination of thier posts. They are experts with a lot of experience.

It is probably best to back away from the keyboard.

I consider myself a Bledsoe fan. I watched the Patriots when I lived in Connecticut (had no choice) and the Bills last season when the Cowboys were playing at a different time.

People need to give the guy a chance before breaking out the bashing stick already.

Cowboys fans are getting a bad reputation as fans that turn on their own to quick.

That is true and I hate them plays. Last year we ran them plays on 3rd and 1 situations and I never unerstood that.
