Temp in Dallas today 102 degrees
Gonna be a hot one for our Cowboys returning to practice in Valley Ranch today. When I went out for lunch yesterday, I passed by a bank and it was 105 degrees! It was hot enough to make you cuss!

Cowboys Working out in Hot Texas Weather?
At Parcells request/demand 1 1/2 - 2 yrs ago, didn't JJ build a training facility expressly for the Cowboys tobe able to work out in an air conditioned building?

Actually they are limiting or cancelling high school practices. One kid ended up in hospital.
It has been brutal.
The Boys will be in airconditioned comfort in their practice facility no doubt. Unless Parcells wants to make an impression.......

WOw. That's actually hotter then it's been here in Laredo. And Laredo is usually the hottest city in Texas. Of course I haven't been going outside during the day much so for all I know it's been 110 the last three days.

In the Dallas area? I haven’t seen any reports here in Houston but would not be surprised if local coaches are running limited practice sessions. I just wish they would have limited practice when I was in high school it was brutal.

No kidding. I remember one day, when I was a sophomore, it got up to 115 degrees, and we still had to practice. ANd that was back when you didn't get to drink water freely. You only got to drink water during the break (5 mins) and there was only 1 break per practice. If a HS coach did that nowadays, the school would be sued, and the coach would be fired.

Isn't that the truth...
It always amuses me that these great pro athletes somehow see the heat as some horrible hardship when a lot of us high school scrubs all over Texas and the south had to go through it.
I really wonder if the Cowboys camp being moved to the coolest site in the league had something to do with Parcells hating the heat and not being used to it. (Plus of course Jerry's marketing opportunities.) Jimmy Johnson was from Port Arthur, so he didn't think of the Austin heat as a terrible burden that would make it impossible to work or concentrate.
He and the players will get used to it in a hurry now that they're back in town, though... Not only has this summer been a really hot one, the humidity has been higher than I can remember it.

That humidity is what ran me out of Texas, cannot stand it. It was 105 here in Scottsdale yesterday and pretty nice for this time of year. Texas weather is the worst I have ever lived in!

Humidity is bad the closer you get to the gulf. However, in Dallas, it shouldn't be that humid. May be more humid up there than normal, but the metroplex has always had dry heat similar to what can be found in AZ.
Doesn't lessen the fact that it's gonna be hot as you know what, regardless. Something the players are going to have to get used to fairly quickly.
Thank you to all donated to the Jason Witten Camp drive!

Yeah there's only about 250,000 of us here. It's in no danger of being deserted.
