Default Is CHutch done?

Someone on another thread brought this up, but what's going to be the plan with Chutch? We could have released him already. There's only a limited number of snaps in camp, so why take him to TC?

All hope of trade value vanished in Europe. Even if we just dumped chutch now, what team if any would talk to him?

At this point I'm not sure if he'd be anything more than a third string or practice squad QB.

All I know is Hutch fumbles more than Julia Childs playing flag football with a frozen turkey at the Crisco Company Picnic.

I would not be surprised if Dallas hold onto him during traning camp. Someone might get injured or some other team with injuries might come calling for him. I think he still has some value.

Man, I am not Certain. We have Carter, Testeverde, Henson and Tony Romo. The fact that the staff kept Romo here to be closer to the Coaching Staff says that he may have the inside track in keeping a roster spot.

Last time I heard, he was in Arkansas getting some treatment on his shoulder I beleive. Maybe the final decision will come in Training Camp, but man, I just dont see 3-4 guys getting all that much work in Oxnard.

Like Bill Parcells said in one of his PCs "It will be hard to keep four of em".

Probably keep him for part of TC. We have a roster exemption for him so why not use it and see if someone wants to trade for him.

One of the last reports had it that Hutch was rehabbing his shoulder injury, from NFLE this spring, in Birmingham, Al with one of the Cowboys' athletic injury specialists. Say he's ready for TC July 31, what then?

Hutch couldn't even play in NFL Europe!!!

There has to be a point when you just have to say a guy can NOT play in the NFL. Hutch passed that point a long time ago. Sure he can toss a nice one once in a while, but all you have to do is look at the guy wrong and the football comes skittering out accross the field like a Mexican jumping bean on crack.

It's bad enough throwing interceptions, but the quarterback fumbling the ball every time he takes a hit is just plain unacceptable at the professional level. He's had YEARS to correct the problem yet he continues to put the ball on the ground.

Hutch is about as valuble as that dog who fetches the kicking tee after the kickoff.....except the dog only wants a freaking BONE after the game.

Whether we trade him or release him, it's pretty much a guarantee that Hutchinson will be on some team's roster this season.

Did anyone ever see even 1 game of him in nfle? That man was running for his life on every play. Worse even that Troy's 1-15 year. And when he did have the chance to throw he was dead on accurate. I think it's a mistake to let him go before we see what he can do with more than 2 seconds to throw.

and this time a year ago he (Chutch) was our savior

Anything but the 'dumb', the 'togue', the 'bus driver'

As long as he fits the image. I can't believe that this is 2004.

Better prospect than ROMO in my opinion. Had over 60% completion, more TD's than Int's and really did not fumble much over there for the number of sacks he took.

I would keep him over Romo and try to give him another year in Europe next year. They have invested a good bit into him.

Doesn't Dallas have to hold onto Chad Hutchinson until a certain date to receive the roster excemption for camp or something?

It seems like I read about something like that.

Other than that, perhaps Dallas is hoping to elicit a future conditional draft choice from a team willing to spend the necessary to develop Hutch and wanting to keep him off the open market.

Hutchinson isn't ready to play right now, but if placed in the right system and given time to learn the position, he may yet become something.
