Trotter back with Eagles
Looks like Trotter has signed a 1 yr deal with Philly, subject to passing a physical. If Trotter is healthy this is bad news for the Cowboys.

Not really, there is nothing that suggests he is close to top form...

Now wasn't that the final nail in the coffin.
Now we can count ourselves lucky to go 8-8.

If he makes the roster, he'll be a situational player at best. I highly doubt he will beat out Simoneau in camp. He also has a bum knee. You are remembering the Trotter of four years ago.

If Trotter were still anything to worry about, the Redskins never would have let him go. Let's face facts, they could have used all the help they could get in the middle of their defense.
He'll battle with Simoneau, but will likley be a back-up, barring injury. This doesn't concern me in the least.

Trotter was never woth the money the skins signed him for
Man I remeber the arguments i had with other cowboy fans that Trotter was not a 5 million dollars better at mlb than dat was at the time. I was so glad he went to the Redskins not Dallas like a lot of fans I knew wanted
Man you got to love it when you are right even if it is once in a blue moon
Trotter at this point is nothing more than solid depth at a weak poistion for the eagles.
He will most likely be more effective with less snaps due to his knee not getting put under as much stress

There is a difference between making the most out of any linebacker in the game (like he was in Washington, at least at the time he signed his contract) then being signed for not a lot of money for a year. Trotter isn't worth being paid as much as he was, but it is not like he is bad. He is only 27 and if he is healthy he should be able to be the same as he was 3 years ago. Why wouldn't he be? It all has to do with health.

I'm not scared of Trotter at all. his play the last two years has fallen off drastically. If by some miracle he recaptures his 2000-2001 form, then there may be cause for consternation amongst Cowboy fans.
Until then, there will be nary a whimper from me

He may only be 27 in age, but not in the knees. With so many teams under the cap and with several teams needing a vet MLB (Seattle and Minnesota off the top of my head), the fact that he had to settle for a 1 year deal for next to nothing suggest he likely has been diagnosed with a chronic degenerative knee condition

He sure has an ability to intercept passes and return them for TD's against us (3)
No worries!! Its not like QC is interception prone...

I did say that if he recaptures his 2000-2001 form then I'd be concerned. Trotter's returns against us were in 2000-2001, when he was considered an elite linebacker. What exactly has Trotter done aagainst us the last two years?

Gotten injured and still lead the Redskins in tackles. The Redskins were bad but they did have Arrington and Armstead.

Ah, but the question is what did he do against the Dallas Cowboys? Jacksquat, that's what.
