I have to say it sucks that we cant view our divison rivals game at a diff. game time
Last week when the giants had a bye week i was hoping to watch Dallas/Philly then watch Skins/Denver so i can watch the divison rivals team play. But noooooo The NFL has all those games scheduled at the same time.
Now this week with the Eagles on the bye and NYG/Dallas game i was hoping the Skins/KC game would be at 4 so i could watch the game, but nooooooooooo The NFL has them playing the same time. That kinda sucks imho. I think most ppl are concerned about there team obviously, but next on the list is there div. rivals.
Oh well...

To the sportsbar, Batman.

I read something once explaining the logistical nightmare of NFL scheduling, even with the marvelous computer programs that sort out all the variables. You'd never think so much domino effect on other teams could result from something like the Jints and Jets sharing a stadium. Katrina has had a trickle down effect this year as well, not just enormous impact on the Saints.
The last thing Tags and his schedulers are considering, what with team transportation/hoteling, keeping the networks happy, stadium security issues, etc, is us fans getting to see division rivals on tv..specially when the divisions themselves are regionally organized....of course the three NFC East teams on teh East Coast will play at 1 PM EST ordinarily....for NFC East teams, it's actually a scheduling plus Texas is in a different time zone.
You can see every game at any time you want with Sunday Ticket and TIVO.

I know what ya mean. Alot of my friends shot down the idea of watching all the games at someone's house if one of us decided to get Sunday Ticket. "I like the social aspect of a sportsbar!"
I do too sometimes. But then there are days I just wanna watch my team with no distractions and a cold non-overpriced beer or 12. I like being able to hear the commentary too, and most people could care less.
I'll prob get Sunday Ticket next year. You'd be surprised how much money you can blow at a bar every Sunday.

yeah, sports bars are kind of constraining, like when I get pissed at a play, I really get pissed and, idk, wouldn't feel right venting in a room full of people, esp. hot waitresses

I have sunday ticket. Im from NY/NJ but moved to Ga for school. So i had to get sunday ticket to watch the giants play. But it just time consuming to tape other games. Plus if i have things i need to take care of and im tivoing another game, yet watching the giants play and something comes up i will be very annoyed if i missed anything during my team playing lol.
I know u can record one thing, while watching another, i tried to do it but havent been able too, need to call one of those tech ppl to help them connect it for me. Actually thanks for reminding me about that.

I like to hit on hot girls, but I can't when I'm pissed, I just want everyone to get the hell out of the room while I throw things around lol, but guess I'm just going to have to risk it and go to the bar, that's not all bad

hmm, sunday ticket + widescreen TV with POP (split screen) + 13" TV = 3 games on at once (when there are 2 available locally at the same time).

It's a baseball thing this week. There are no 4:00 games on FOX this week because of the MLB playoffs. Which begs the question: Baseball??? It's FOOTBALL season!!!

Well, being on the East Coast, no NFL game starts before 1pm for me.
