Default Dixon to OLB?

Any chance Dixon plays OLB, at least in nickel like Roy has been. Guy is 215-220 and a pretty good blitzer if memory serves..... can't hurt to give it try, we all know he can't play safety.

Too small to play OLB.

The move was made to shore up special team coverage, which Dixon was good at.

Despite labeling myself a "realist", no one understands my pain or appreciates my special truth. Stupid world.

Dixon can't play safety? Why would a sudden move to a position he's never played at the pro-level, without the benefit of training camp or preseason, help us?

I don't see that happening, but if Dallas wants to get any value from Dixon - absent ST's - Zim. needs to keep him close to the LOS

If Dixon can blitz form his OLB position next to the ball boy without getting a flag........then, I say send the guy!

Otherwise, I DO NOT want him on the field........

Dixon can be a poor mans Larry Izzo - a backup that only see's field in a disaster. But is a ST ace. SS and LB's fit that role....

I wouldn't rule out a CB cut in near future.....

Who would we cut at CB? We only have four on the roster (TNew, Henry, Glenn, Reeves) and I'd prefer if we had five. I don't know how Nate Jones is listed on the depth chart but he has no business playing CB in the NFL. Even Reeves is most a STer and nickel safety who would be abused at CB.

Let's face it - if one of our top 3 CBs goes down, we are in big trouble. Getting another developmental CB should be a goal in the offseason.

I thought we signed Dixon because one of our waterboys quit.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Glenn is #3

Jones and Reves depth behind that.

You add two safeties and Parcells rants on young players not knowing how to play football the math may be simple.....

I'm glad to see that nothing changes around here. People still suggest the stupidest things.

Well, it is late.

I am rarely on the board at this hour.

I guess this is when the crazies come out to play.
