Petition to Jerry Jones Re TO
Dear Jerry,
I know you have always loved to bring in big name stars to don the star. For the love of god and all things silver and blue, do not under any circumstances think about bringing in TO! It would be an embarassment to the organization and all our fans who despise every fiber of TO. I trust you will not succumb to the seduction of having a big name "star" and I trust you will do the right thing.
Sincerely,
Richmond Cowboy

Why bother. TO will never even be considered here. He completely goes against everything the team is becoming and BP's vision for the team.

Danny Snyder loves big name stars. Don't be surprised if TO is a Redskin next year.

The guy at PFT calls the Skins and Broncos "turd collectors" -- I really think he's going to be in ..... Oakland.

He will absolutely be in Washington next year. Danny Snyder himself told me last night at the game.

Dear Mr. Richmond Cowboy,
I appreciate your interest in the Dallas Cowboys. As owner and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys, it is my job, in coordination with our coaches and staff, to assemble the best talent possible to represent our team. We are committed to examining every prospect in our attempt to upgrade our roster.
While NFL rules specifically prohibit me from commenting on a particular player under contract to another NFL franchise, please understand that I value character and commitment to the team concept as one of the most important qualitites of any prospect I review.
Your input is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Jerry Jones
Owner & General Manager
Dallas Cowboys Football Club

Doubt it -- the Skins are different now. Look how they have treated Arrington -- dude doesn't want to be a team player, dude sits.

i highly doubt oakland can afford him - they just picked up moss and already signed porter. now denver can probably pick him up but i would assume owens would want to go with a team who has a solid quarterback. maybe the vikings but i doubt with their current off-field situation, they'd be willing to take on more headaches.
eh...nothing to see down here...move along.

Parcells wouldn't do it. I don't think Snyder would do it either - certainly Gibbs would not. It's really hard to imagine any team taking that risk at this point. TO has a lot of work to do before now and next spring/summer to show GMs/coaches that he's worth the trouble. He already had 1 strike against him after San Fran. Now he completely sabatoges a solid winning organization with his antics. If he cant stay straight there, where can he????

Man, you guys have no faith in your owner. Jerry Jones is a principled man. Remember, he refused to draft Randy Moss because of character issues. Do you really think he wants to relive what he did with Michael Irvin during his famous court hearing. Jerry Jones is the last person who would sign Terrell Owens. Jerry doesn't just go for big names any more. Seriously, this thread is an insult to Jerry and shows how little you know of your owner.
The Cowboys have no tolerance for players with character/off-the field issues. Did some of you forget all the players we cut in the past two years due to issues they had off the field?

I don't know if "afford" will have much to do with it.
I think TO will have to sign a very team-friendly incentivized deal. I can't imagine any team offering him anywhere near top-dollar. His and Rosenhouses' antics have certainly COST him money.

Realistically, I think he will end up with the Falcons because they are a contending team that lacks a receiver. TO would flourish there because VIck has a strong arm and has no trouble throwing deep.
