Default Alexander or Owens

If you could choose where to spend th money next sesaon, which one would you spend it on?

I truly think that if Alexander is available in free agency, that Parcells will choose to go after him, which would kill all the TO speculation. Can't have both.

I love Alexanders talent but we'd have to give up HUGE to get him and in no way shape form or fashion do I want TO in Dallas.

Is that a trick question? They haven't signed him yet. He probably wouldn't sign there anyway, unless he is franchised.

If it is between those two, obviously Alexander. But I don't think our running backs are the problem. We haven't had a great run blocking offenesive line in many years. We need to get some young, talented, athletic offensive linemen, that can block to the second level, are consistant and can pull and lead screen plays.

Oh and a top notch OL coach would also do good.

I very much doubt ether one will be wareing cowboy blue next year!
Think about it, why sign Alexander - huge money and with the stable of backs we have, it's not a need. N.O. to T.O. We will have other areas that Bill will identify and go after, I think we do not need to tie up the money or the headaches that would come with those two. - Hope Bill see's it the same way.

I agree with the others here. Why would we shell out big money for Alexander? We have talent at RB already. Parcells doesn't really buy into the one RB carries the load theory. He would rather use three good ones. I don't see it. Offensive lineman, I can see.

Neither. We've got JJ, who isn't Alexander, but is a better alternative than throwing free agent $$$ at alexander. If we are going to throw FA money at something, we need to throw it at the offensive line.

Default I'm a Kool Aid drinker too, but

I'm a Kool Aid drinker too, but lets face it none of our backs compare with Alexander. He and Tomlinson are head and shoulders above the rest of the league. That being said, I really doubt we would leverage our cap to get Alexander. If we were gonna spend the money I'd take Alexander over T.O. any day. Why would Seattle not use the franchise tag on him next year?

Our backs aren't elite, but they are serviceable. Don't be surprised if later down the line that Thompson doesn't replace Jones/Barber as our primary back. At this point neither Jones nor Barber are threats to take it to the house on a long breakaway run. This HAS to change, or they need to be replaced.

No way Alexander is available, and I am not ready to give up on our backs yet.

Having an Elite back is not necessary to win a Super Bowl. Just ask New England. They do have a very servicable back though.

I'd call Dillon better then servicable but still, I do agree with your general conclusions.

They won't frnchise him because they can't in the 1 year contract they gave him to replace the tag they put a provision agreeing not to frnchise or transition tag him this coming year. But he has said he wants to stay in seattle they will get a deal done
