Looking at the stats...
We ran 66 plays to the lions 45. Controlled the ball for 36.02 of the clock.
GOT 9 FD's due to penalty. (UNREAL).
Bledsoe was at 65.2 passing rating- worst game of the year.
JJ 21 for 92 - 4.4 take out those three stuffs at the goal line and he is over 5 ypc but he also fumbled.
Barber 15 -53 for 3.5 BUT he got the 2 TDs
We only got one sack. Dat is credited with the fumble recovery.
only 2 passes defended- one each by Newman and Roy.
Harrington was at 86.9 his best of the year, I think. BUt he only averaged 6.8 yds per attempt- so we did ok there- but only one sack and not a whole lot of pressure and he was effective.
K Jones 12 for 29. We stuffed their run very well. Which we needed to do after the Philthy mess.
I think Henry is still not 100%. We need him badly. Should have manned R Williams with Newman the whole game and that would have probably shut him out- he was ther only real Detroit offensive threat. 5 for 72 yds. Though K Jones did good receiving the ball.
Overall a much better performance then Monday- BUT inconsistant is the word to describe the Offense. And a lot of that came down to the O line- AGAIN.

Bledsoe's worst game was vs the Seahawks. I think he was in the 50s that game.
He didn't get much help from the OL today. And we face a much better pass rushing team on Thursday. It could get ugly.
The good news is the Broncos will cover Glenn one on one often and they blitz a lot. So if we pick up their blitz we can hit some big plays on Champ Bailey.

And the way our pass rush looked today I bet Plummer has no worries right about now.

With team like Denver we must be able to control the ball. We had better pressure Plummer or he will pick us apart. The outside LBs must do a better job in containing the run.

Pressure Plummer and stop the run- that is the name of the game for THursday. I think this might be the toughest game of the year.

Please, I was at the game and Bledsoe had plenty of times quite a few times where he flat out missed wide open guys. At times he was under pressure.
I heard he suffered somewhat of minor concussion in the post game shows on local ESPN here. Apparently he did late second quarter. But still he was pretty bad since early second quarter he didn't play well at all and holding onto ball way too long many times.
So many people were yelling him to get rid of ball when he kept patting the ball.

We MUST be more innovative rushing the passer or the Bronc's will beat us going away...
Henry needs to be full speed & starting even though Glenn played well...
Fergy should start being the much stronger run downs player making Glover more effective rushing the passer when he is in...This change needs to be done NOW!
Drew was getting pressure pretty much every pass...He was hit alot today...
The guy takes a hit and is tough, but I find myself yelling "Get rid of it" alot...
Good points CBz40, I argree, control the clock...
To win vs the well balanced offensive broncs, I think the D & ST's will need to score as well as us being plus 2 in the turnover margin......

I agree. I think anyone that says the pass protection was all of Drew's problems is making up excuses for the guy.

Harrington had a 95.4 rating against Green Bay and 121.8 rating last week against Arizona.

Today, yes. Not a banner performance.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.
