Default thoughts on the game

Even though Ware has not done much in the way of sacks lately he is opening things up for Ellis, who has 7 sacks in 10 games. I think he will get to 11 this year but we all know how he has had drouts in the past...the difference now is he isnt getting doubled as much...or he wasnt..maybe teams will shift their protection to his side more and D Ware will be able to do some damage....we have to keep moving d ware around more to get him free...and get burnett blitzing more too...he is pretty good at that...

Bledsoe didn't look too sharp again today but it definitely has something to do with the protection. It could be like this the rest of the year to tell you the truth. Thursday is going to be a tough game.

I dont know why they dont try and use price more. Maybe drew doesnt have time.

I also would have had barber in there in the red zone the time we couldnt score. He has 5 td's and definitely would have had another one.

Our offense is too predictable. We need to change things up a bit.

Julius got down a little after the fumble only recover late. Dont know why BP wouldn't let him get the 8 yards he needed to reach 100. Especially after he ripped off that last 18 yard run. Maybe he was worried about the fumble problem...but wait didnt Barber have a problem with that last monday?

We need Henry bad. He really helps with the run. Love that about him. he should be back at full strength this thursday.

Bill C way to go! I didnt think he was going to make it though. I am sure most of you thought the same thing. I want to see him with the game on the line.

Is Spears a bust? #20 in the draft...i thought he would have had more of an impact...

I think BP isn't concerned with Julius and 100 yard games, and I'm not either. Both backs played well today. I think Bill is more concerned that he needs fresh legs against Denver in 4 days.

Spears has actually played quite well. He makes tackles, and he keeps blockers busy. Bust? I dunno bout that.

Im also happy we have Cundiff.
Ditto on Henry, he's an integral part of that defense. When he's out, we're above average, when he's in there, the defense is elite.

We could have opened up things a bit more on offense, but I think we might be saving some of the trickery for bigger games.

Anyone think that Bledsoe might have been thrown off his rythm after that play he got a bit shaken up on?

I do, even a slight concussion can throw a player out of wack, and as someone pointed out earlier, he was doing faily well early, then just went into a funk

I dunno, it was a sloppy game, but there wasn't really a moment I was scared we would lose. People need to get off the defense. They gave up 1 TD.

yeah bp doesnt care about 100 yards...i just would have liked to have seen it

bledsoe may have been shaken up...let's hope so and that he will be ok thursday

what i meant about spears was for a #20 pick i thought that he would have made a little more of an impact by now...i know he was hurt but still to me like i said i want to see more..i want to see signs of dominance if you are a #20 pick...not all the time because he is a rookie but at least some of the time...

If Drew should sustain another concussion Thursday it could be a dire situation.

I watched Spears throughout college because I am a long time LSU season ticket holder. Trust me that he is a great draft pick, and well worth a #20 pick. However, my beef with him has always been that he disappears until a play is NEEDED. I have seen this for years. However, he will come up big when the team needs him. I have always thought that he needs to be a bit more aggressive. He is a very smart guy, and a great person, but I think he is a bit too nice.

Only took 10 games before he is a bust eh?

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

how is spears a bust? from what ive seen he's played quite well. he broke the starting lineup a few weeks back, which is an accomplishment in itself (burnett you're next: fugita is the bust), and i've been pretty impressed since.
