Those are some impressive names. I particularly like Sopoaga. I think he could contribute right away as a rotational DT. Lavalais should also be a good value if the sporting news is to be believed.
Cobbs would be interesting as well and probably spell the end for Cason.
Shocked that Will Poole would fall this far. I still think he could be a very solid corner, despite having a bad run. The draft analysts were talking about him at the top of the second. His prescence on the board amazes me.
A Safety like Will Allen would be a consideration as well. Darren Woodson is on his last leg and Roy Williams needs to be at his natural SS position. (Will Allen does project to FS right?)

I wouldn't mind Nathan Vasher after reading his profile from Sporting News:
Nathan Vasher
5-9 1/2 178 lbs. 4.48 40 time
NFL Comparison: Phillip Buchanon
Strengths: Is a playmaker and versatile athlete. Has experience as a cornerback, safety, and punt returner. Has a lot of upside as a return man; shows good vision, burst, speed, and elusiveness. Is a good athlete. Is agressive with quick footwork and changes directions smoothly. Can turn and run with faster receivers because of smoth hips and quick turns. Shows good burst out of backpedal. Makes sudden cuts to match quick receivers. Is agressive when ball is in the air. Shows good closing speed and can recover from mistakes. Has good leaping ability and ball skils. Has excellent hands.
Weaknesses: Is too short and lacks strength. Will struggle against big, tall and physical NFL receivers who dictate their own routes. Lacks elite speed.
Bottom Line: Vasher started at strong safety in 2001 but moved back to cornerback in '02. His lack of size and speed are concerns, but he is an agressive playmaker with terrific ball skills. Vasher is a notch below the elite prospects. He could develop into a solid No. 2 cornerback despite his size limitation. He should be ready to contribute right away as a nickel back and return man, and he's worth of a pick late in the second or early in the third.
Final Grade: 6.5
There is a guy I wouldn't mind nabbing in the fourth.

Poole probably won't be picked especially after we cut one of our best corners Ross for character issues.

Here is Will Allen's profile from Sporting News:
Will Allen
6-1 190lbs. 4.50 40 time
NFL Comparison: Eugene Wilson, NE
Strengths: Has upside. Is quick and fluid and has good range in zone coverage. Is at his best when playing the high point in a two-deep look. Is instinctive, does a great job of reading the quarterback's eyes, gets a good break on the ball and takes sound angles in pursuit. Has excellent leaping ability and ball skills and is athletic enough to matchup against some slot receivers. A solid, willing wrap-up tackler who fills hard against the run.
Weaknesses: Lacks experience and elite speed, does not have the size or strength to match up against bigger tight ends and lacks good man-to-man cover skills. Needs to improve his bulk and strength. Will be overmatched near the line of scrimmage in the NFL. Will struggle to get off of blocks and must improve his stamina.
Bottom Line: Allen is unpolished but is worth taking a chance on because he should contribute right away on special teams. At the least, he has the playmaking skills in coverage to develop into a solid sub-package defensive back.
Final Grade 6.8
There ya go Clay.

Sounds like a winner. Not too concerned about the line of scrimmage thing with Roy around.

I don' t know if this guy is gonna get drafted, but that guy Wes Welker (sp?), WR from Texas Tech is one of the best WR/KR I have seen in a long...long time. He is like Wayne Chrebet. I am just throwing this out for fun.
I would bet he is not drafted and gets an invite somewhere.

Good Morning Juke......I'm not sure if the players you mentioned have been selected are not. I think they are both still on the board.

I would really like Brandon Kennedy. Not really a position of need but I think he has IT
"Who controls the past controls the future, who controls the present controls the past."
